I dont really have anything to add but i would be interested to know what else I can and cant eat

Edit: Morel mushrooms(or molly moochers as some people call them).bout forgot them

 

Morels definitely, cattails taste like cucumber, just don't eat the green part, ramps, etc.

I know a lot but would love to find a good guide or PDF

Plantains are prevalent around here, should be there too. All parts of the pine tree. Fiddlehead ferns in the early spring, before they open. Just remove the fuzzy layer on the outside of the stem. Thistle or Burdock root.

Oh I forgot to mention its free took about 3days to get to my house i live in the kanawha county area

 

Try the foxfire books, Foxfire #2 has spring wild plant food and foxfire #3 has summer and fall wild plant food, also much, much more this is a great book series about living in the appilachian mts.
