anyone smell that rotten egg smell this a.m? The news is saying from the Salten Sea? thats like 75 miles from Ventura County? I think its from earthquake activity?

A friend mentioned the smell today around Pasadena. I figure it's just TPTB test gassing large areas for future riot/population control, probably using the sewer system.

That's weird. I am in Yorba Linda, half way from the Salton Sea and Pasadena but it doesnt smell here.
I always sense that when I hear California --- but I also get the flavor of bile in the back of my throat at the same time.

I've been reading a lot about this one and many are saying they are upwind of the Salton Sea and still smelling it.
You smell that smell? That's liberalism, son. Nothing else in the world smells like it. I hate the smell of liberalism in the morning...that smell...that rotten egg smell... it smells like... welfare. Y'know, someday, this spending party is going to end. TP

In all seriousness, I have experienced this in different places at different times, here's my theory:
Is there a landfill within a few miles? As the trash decomposes, it releases methane and other smelly gases. These are heavier than air and flow into low-lying areas during the night and early morning before the sun comes out. When it starts warming up mid-morning and afternoon, the sun "cooks off" these gases and they dissipate. I drive through such an area on some mornings.

Turns out is was a massive fish die-off in the Salton Sea. It was so bad you could litterally smell it for hundreds of miles.
We would get that when drilling and we would hit a bad well in the Santa Maria and Santa Barbara area. At some wells we were given rebreather packs and if you got a hit of that suffer smell you put that in your mouth and got the hell out of the area. As it could be a poison well....
