since there are as many different firearms out there as there are opinions about them, let's talk 3 gun battery. if you had to strip your gun collection down to one rifle, one shotgun and one pistol, what would you chose?

mine:

1) Del Ton sport AR 15 carbine
2) Remington 887 nitro mag tactical
3) Smith & Wesson M&P .40 cal

Would like to have:

Springfield Armory M1A .308
Para-Ordnance P-14 .45 ACP
Remington 11-87 custom 12 gauge.

What I have and am pretty happy with:

PTR-91 .308
Glock 21SF .45ACP
Remington 11-87 custom 12 gauge

Savage Model 10 308. Bolt action and tough too

Ar-15 with adj stock and ACOG (brand irrelevant as long as it will shoot brass and steel ammo

Glock 22 cause it is 40 cal and it is what every cop in the county (and city) use. Compatability and familiarity is key should their stock be all that is around once Walmarts gone dry.

I must be a real prepper, I have given this thought before!

Two iterations, both with current weapons on-hand. One more "tactical", the other more long-term sustainability-oriented, based on the primary longarm:

FN-LAR in .308
S&W 686 in .357 mag
Remington 870 Express (with spare riot barrel)

or

Steyr-Manlicher Model M in .270 win
Glock 22 in .40s&w
Remington 870 Express (again)

I don't mind this exercise, just don't make me really leave the others behind, 'kay? :D:
