Honestly, other than AC and toilet paper, I agree with you 100%. Oh and my wife NOT b!tching about the other things no longer there. Seriously though, I watch movies like Mountain Men, Last of the Mohicans, Patriot, even Last Samurai, and shows like that new one, Mountain Men on History channel. I love the scenery, the simplicity of life (as hard as it was), and just wish it was that way. We live on 7 acres rented from a friend who also lives on it. We have chickens, sheep, gardens, and we're getting ready to buy a couple more cows. I hunt and fish, hike and back pack. The further from the grid the better. We lost power for a day a few weeks ago, downed power line, I was having a ball. Got the solar showers out, cause I had stored water, the camp stove, etc. Happy as a clam. My wife and my friends always said I was born in the wrong century.
