Depends, usually a Sig 226 with 3 spare mags but every once in awhile I will break out the 1911 and a couple of spare mags.

If I am hiking around here I also take the M4 with me.

I used to have a Sig 226. Fantastic pistol.

I usually either carry my XD45 or my 1911.

 

Either an S&W M&P or a CZ-40 usually, sometimes a S&W 9mm Sigma.

If I'm in big critter territory, Ruger Super Blackhawk, .44... same thing on ammo.
Gotta love a purpose built, big, heavy gun, heheh.

If anyone has the rare redhawk .44 with the 5.5" bbl, and wants to sell (yeah, right), I'm open for it.

 

Ditto for me.. They can't seem to keep any Redhawk in stock up here, they go quick.

My XD45 tactical mostly. I love my 1911's, but for the same weight I can carry 13+1 in the XD, and not worry as much about the finish...

I haven't done much outdoors since I got my G19, so I may use that going forward. But I confess I do feel reassured with 230gr solutions...

My 1911 is 40oz unloaded. My FNP 45 is 29 oz unloaded. The FNP holds 15+1 compared to the 1911 7+1. The FNP is all stainless and plastic. The 1911 is all steel.

The FNP is far and away the better choice for a woods gun. For that matter, I carry it everyday too. Why not have lighter weight and more capacity?

Indeed, and i would keep my word. But... I'm running into problems with this, everytime I click the buy or bid links, it just sends me back to a profile page for myself. Guess there's more here that I need to figure out before I can get into it... probably a good thing, there is too much temptation here, lol.

But no more than the Davidson's site, where I have bought before. Just gotta figure out the new one here.
