Hi folks. I have a good and growing supply of rice and pinto beans packed in 5 gal. buckets. What other types of readily available foods are good for long-term storage in mylar/5 gal buckets? Any more ideas are welcome. Thanks!

This is an example of what I store for 1 year. I have this replicated three time for a three year supply but I store it in three different locations. I think it is sufficient for a family of 4
I have been storing and rotating food for about 6 years now it took me a long time to build up to this point.. On the other hand I am sucking wind in the area of defense and medical supplies and communications.. So I guess if you get hungry just bring over your straw and spit wades and it could all be yours.. This week I am getting my first shotgun and taking a class on how to use it for home defense so I guess that is a start.
How long do you think the shelf life is of Ramon noodles left in original packaging in a 5 gallon bucket would be? Excluding the printed mandatory expiration date pre-printed on the package, but an opinion of how long they really might last in an emergency long term food storage situation?
Bob
Wow, dude. Your food supply looks like it could be trimmed down a quarter and it would do fine for one year for 2 adults and 2 children. Maybe 50% for 4 adults. Needless to say, you won't go hungry lol
Scratch that. After looking again, your 1 year food supply could feed at least 10 adults easily and not one person would go hungry. I would revise your numbers a little lol
