Hey Gang...it is my time coming to an end here. Not for any reason other than I want to be on the internet a million percent less.

But, I wanted to say thank you. As one of the stand out liberal Democrat dudes on here, a lot of you put up with a lot of my terrible ideas, and rhetorical nonsense. Thanks for that.

I wanted to say thank you. One of the things I have struggled on this journey is setting the baseline of knowledge. Knowing what is reputable, and what is nonsense on the internet. I think a lot of you chipped in a lot to help me with a lot of those baselines.

Thanks for a lot of help getting me to a place where I have spent some years moving from theoretical, to what is PERSONALLY practical, to what is applicable to my family and our collective plan.

Thank you.

Will miss your posts honestly. I appreciated the difference in mindset & how sometimes you came at things differently than others here.

But I understand the need to get off the net. Even I have been evaluating some decrease in tech.

I'm sorry to see you go, but understand completely. I do hope you will stick your head in the door, so to speak, occasionally, at least, and let us know how you are doing. I always wonder about how a member is doing when I don't see them post for a while.

Be safe, and have fun!! Life is too short to not to!! 😘

I dont know why you have to leave, Here there are people who have far left views and others who have far right views, I don't care a Rats backside about their politics It is the people who are important to me not their politics or beliefs,

This past year or so I have learn't to ignore and separate politics from the person, doing this will yeald a lot more friends seeing the value in all people, besides I have never seen a Politician Who could lie straight In Bed and none of them are around long enough to matter.

I understand your choice but you have other options if needed, but what ever you do I wish you luck on your travels throughout life,

Take care.

Real life is a lot more important than the internet.

You don't have to go cold turkey, you can pick and choose. I have a much more positive view of the world today with between 15 and 90 minutes online compared to when I had sometimes limitless hours to waste. I think that we will look back in 20 years on facebook and other social media and understand it was just as bad for mental health and physical as solitary confinement or smoking. A lot of it's fake, and even if you realize that it can still be toxic. I do believe there is still value in the internet. In how to's, videos, finding like minded people and general learning. There's is a catch though, if you go looking for support for an idea you'll almost certainly find it, and that isn't always a good thing. Good luck.

What you're liberal! Dont let the door hit you on the way out! lol Just kidding. Yeah sometimes I think the same way. I like tech and I like outdoors and animals. I do have a lot of interaction with people as well. And everyone here is a person. Cheers
