Did they show any dinosaurs actually dead from being shot, or is this show going to be PETA friendly?
It appears to be dino friendly .

There were two scenes that made me roll my eyes. One where the shooters were instructed to aim at the underbelly so the "Tranq" rounds would penetrate. If I'm going after a dinosaur it aint gonna be with a tranquilizer gun!

The other was the good guys shooting "sonic rounds" to scare away the beasts.

Doesn't matter, I still like the show and am looking forward to more episodes.:thumb:

Are they worried about whatever "event" killed the Dinos? Silly to start a new civilization if a huge comet is going to hit the earth anyway...
The writers covered that scenario. The dinosaurs were supposedly killed by an asteroid approximately 6 miles in diameter 65,000,000 years ago. This is why Terra Nova is set 85,000,000 years in the past...20,000,000 years BEFORE the asteroid impact. I guess they figure they can become technologically advanced enough in 20,000,000 years to prevent the catastrophy. Of course this would also mean that dinos wouldn't become extinct and would continue to evolve through time.

I was pretty disappointed in the show; so predictable. I spent two hours waiting for one of the female actors to run away while wearing high-heeled shoes, stumbling, etc., etc.
Sorry, but I don't think this will last.

Pretty much my Sentiments exactly. I'll watch it again to see if it gets any better, but as it stands, I'de likely rather watch reruns of Land of the Lost. The Special Effects were comparable, and giving the Dinosaurs Names like Slashers and stuff.

Nice, I didn't see the show.

Actually,

The main characters daughter told you the answer about the asteroid and time paradox. When they got sent back it is in a different time steam. Not related to our own time. Watch the part where the 2 sisters and brother are talking near the probe.

Mrs Cricket and I watched it. It was very predictable. Seemed like most of the charactors were potential gene pool rejects. Tough to swallow that considering the situation they had obviously been faced with for a while. A little dissapointing when mom and son didn't join dad in the fight for baby sis when the stormtrooper baby snatchers tried to take sis. Not very realistic reaction from a family of rogue citizens who knew that day could come. The baby snatcher stormtroopers didn't seem all that competant.

It also made no sense that people who can travel through time can't seem to arrive at or in the protective compound instead of having to trek through the jungle and all it's dangerous critters on well groomed trails with no armed/armored vehicles to come pick them up and deliver them safely to the compound. WTF?

I hope it gets better.

I have a feeling that there was a good reason the "sixers" moved out of terra nova and it has something to do with the leader guy. Any other predictions?

The "leader guy" is the same actor that played the military commander in the movie Avatar. If he's being type cast for this new role then you're probably right. Is that that predictability thing creeping in again? :D:

That "leader guy" also played Pickett in Gettysberg.
