I live in Texas but I am seriously considering moving to TN.
I visit Sevier County every year and stay with friends and visit the park.
That area is waaaay too touristy and expensive for me so I'm looking for something between there and Chattanooga, Maryville, Townsend.
It's difficult going from big city opportunites to small town employment, so I'm trying to broaden my experience and training.

I'm an English teacher planning to move to TN. I'm looking forward to moving back to the USA after nearly a decade away. What I miss most are the forests, rivers, and mountains!

Any advice on what city to move to? The city would preferably be place where I could learn and practice primitive skills, and where I could work at a warehouse or something similar (anything but teaching!). Is Asheville a good choice?

 

Asheville is very nice. I met some good Montagnards there.

yes ashville is a great area they had a gas problem a while back but its ok now. i live about 40 minuets from ashville in erwin tn its very beautful here to.
