Personality types is an interesting thing to me, and I have always wondered what the general trend is in the Survivalism community.

If you have taken the Myers-Briggs test, great. :thumb:
If not, there are many shorter versions online, and if you have the time it is actually well worth understanding yourself that much more.

The test I always refer people to is here: http://www.careertest.net/cgi-bin/q.pl

There are 68 questions. For best results, remember to answer honestly, even if it hurts.

I am an INTP. :thumb:

Wiki on INTJ;

INTJs are analytical. Like INTPs, they are most comfortable working alone and tend to be less sociable than other types. Nevertheless, INTJs are prepared to lead if no one else seems up to the task, or if they see a major weakness in the current leadership. They tend to be pragmatic, logical, and creative. They have a low tolerance for spin or rampant emotionalism. They are not generally susceptible to catchphrases and do not recognize authority based on tradition, rank, or title.

INTJs are strong individualists who seek new angles or novel ways of looking at things. They enjoy coming to new understandings. They tend to be insightful and mentally quick; however, this mental quickness may not always be outwardly apparent to others since they keep a great deal to themselves. They are very determined people who trust their vision of the possibilities, regardless of what others think. They may even be considered the most independent of all of the sixteen personality types. INTJs are at their best in quietly and firmly developing their ideas, theories, and principles.

That just makes you the "difficult" type of person.

Dang it = Just take the test and allow yourself to be LABELED and CATERGORIZED!

ISTP: "Artisan". These people are action-oriented and fearless, and crave excitement. They are impulsive and dangerous to stop. They often like tools, instruments, and weapons, and often become technical experts. They are not interested in communications and are often incorrectly diagnosed as dyslexic or hyperactive. 5% of the total population.

Pretty close.

I'm INFJ- the author. That's pretty funny in that they said I would make a good counselor because that is what I hold my degree in and when actually doing the job I found I couldn't do it because I couldn't seperate myself from my clients. I was miserable doing that type of work now I am part-owner of a Landscaping company and I love what I'm doing. Interesting but I have to say I think there are too few questions to really probe someone deeply.

Ah, so most people so far are Introverted. :D:
I actually expected that.

When I tell people i'm an introvert and they say "oh, so your anti-social?".
We are not anti-social are we? We just get our inner-energy and ideas when alone, and can think and clear our minds when there is not a huge crowd around. Extroverts on the other hand get their energy and ideas around lots of people, and they enjoy constant social activity. Thats OK, but not for me. :thumb:
I for one greatly value solitude, and i'm not afraid to admit that! :D:

I handle stress by taking long drives in the country alone.
Yeah, its expensive, but I figure that I would rather temporarily damage my wallet than risk permanent damage to myself.
I also handle stress by camping a few days in the woods... it helps me clear my mind and get in touch with myself.

Long live introverts!!!

Cough, cough Bull**** cough, cough....introverts are socially "awkward"( or else they could normally engage with strangers with confidence and ease) which indicates an unhealthy adjustment......the fact is, the majority of folks are somewhere in between introvert and extrovert( intro and extro are the extremes)////////// My question is, if , while driving out in the country, to relieve stress, you come across an Armadillo in the road.......will you avoid it or run over it( nobody will see you) and somehow feel better? Be honest......
