Suggestions/opinions for a .380

I have a Kel Tec P3AT that is a reliable gun but am interested in something that maybe a little heavier/bigger/easier on the hand.

I'm not interested in the ".380 isn't powerful enough" discussions. I own plenty of other firearms that I use for CC but this is specifically for deeper concealment.

I am only capable of getting one and a half fingers on the handle of my Kel Tec, which seems to have something to do with me being able to control the recoil. Knowing that the Ruger LCP is pretty much the same thing that leaves that out. The Taurus is also about the same size.

Doesn't bother me if it's steel or polymer but needs to be a little larger than the P3AT/Ruger. Perhaps something this size would be fine if it were steel framed?

Again, specifically for deep concealment. I have both a G30 and a G19 that I love but there are situations that don't allow me to carry both of those. I'm also stuck on the .380 because I have plenty of ammo already and I'm not interested in trying to get rid of it.

I know you said you wanted to stick to .380 because you have plenty of it and dont want to try getting rid of it...

but hear me out for a minute

You are going to switch to a handgun larger than the P3AT/LCP/SW bodyguard... and by so doing you will be in the realm of slim/compact/lightweight 9mm handguns.

This is a good thing!

Why not bump up to a KelTec PF9, Ruger LC9, sell or trade the .380 ammo and go with the more powerful/more common cartridge?

Selling/Trading ammo is the simplest thing in the world, especially if you are the one trying to move .380acp.

Anyway, dont mean to derail or stray from your original post... just wanted to throw that out there, personally if I was looking at pistols of a certain size and could have it in 9mm or .380acp I'd go with 9mm .

The cartridge sucks but if that is what you need, then the older Beretta 84/85 series with the rounded trigger guards are about the best ever made. Certainly, they will rival anything in terms of reliability. 13 shot model 84 was the carry gun of choice for many years. The model 85 is slim and easy to conceal and it handles well. They are both on the large side for the cartridge and heavier than the plastics but they are flawlessly reliable and very well made.

I actually looked into those for a little bit. Seems as though there are a lot of problems with them as of right now, or at least the problems are hit and miss.:xeye: I'm not interested in being part of the test cases for S&W. If it was already a proven, reliable gun then I would probably jump on it but as for now? I'm thinking maybe something else.

If anyone is sure that the problems are fixed let me know. I would certainly consider it. I've been eyeballing the Bersa Thunder and the Sig P238. Both look like reliable weapons.
