Stoner AR-12.

Figure this is something most do not know. Eugene Stoner originally envisioned the AR-16(father to the AR-18) to use the same operating system as the AR-10 he developed.

Once the patents to the operating system of the AR-10 were sold to Colt, Eugene Stoner had to modify his new system and change the operating system to what would become the AR-16.

For that I present you the AR-12.

I really wish I had tons and tons of money. I'd have a special section of my "armory" that was just for Stoner weapons.

wood furniture gives it character....

It was designed for 3rd world countries who couldn't make modern firearms.

The gas tube was originally straight and led into a Block of steel which was the carrier we have all come to know if the AR-18.

Same reason wood was chosen for the furniture and why stamped steel was used for the receiver.

I actually wish someone would go back and make a replica AR-12 like Stoner envisioned it.
