Picked up some STA-BIL gas stabilizer today. I can use it for the fuel it identifies on the package (gasoline, gasoline/oil blends, ethanol blends), but curious if it can be used with Kerosene. Emailed the company, but expect them to stick to the label. Anyone have any experience?

I know there is a product called Power Start, which works with Kerosene. It's not available locally. Would like to use STA-BIL, if possible.

The kerosene I have stored is slowly rotated. VERY slowly rotated. The barrel I am using now was filled 20+ years ago. It works in my Aladdin lamps, regular kerosene lamps and heaters just fine. It has never been treated with anything. If you are using kerosene in something other that just lamps and wick type heaters , this advice may not apply.

Was going to buy a new 5 gal. can of kerosene and I started thinking I should still have a Y2K stash in the barn.
Found 2 -5 gal. cans. Did a gravity check on them and their both right on the money after being unopened after 9 years.
I'm glad ,kerosene is up to $60. for 5 gals. here.........Alaskan.........Dennis
