Remember when our side was making memes poking fun at the AntiFa furries and laughing at how weak and girly they all were? Just a bunch of gender studies degree having pansies, am I right?

So it turns out they’re actually a highly organized, well funded, violent extremist group intent on transforming the US government into a Marxist system, and they’re capable of chasing cops out of their precincts and setting up “autonomous zones” in a major city, guarded by armed volunteers.

If you think we haven’t lost the initiative and are behind the ball now, you’re not paying attention. If you think that what’s happening in the big cities isn’t going to come to you, you’re not paying attention. If you think our side is just biding our time and waiting for the right moment, you’re not paying attention.

We are losing, badly. And we are still just primarily concerned with making sure cops get respect.

There was a group called Proud Boys that would show up to oppose and brawl with Antifa but it petered out just like the Tea Party. Cops would arrest them, social media ban them, law enforcement actively dig into them to see what they could hang on them. Antifa and leftism is promoted, American resistance is persecuted.

Read England was a similar movement to the Proud Boys called something Soccer Club or something. They are protecting their historic monuments at this time.

I do not know if I am amused or horrified that the WHOLE WORLD is obsessed with USA. Seems odd to me they are all weighing in on our domestic issue and emulating it in London and Australia. Almost as if they think they have a say here or we give a damn about their two cents.

This is repeat of campaign season for the left. They rioted and killed cops in 2016 too. Didn't work out too well for them then and hopefully it will not work out for them this fall. All this mayhem may play well for blue pols and the media but it makes most people antsy and a bit scared. Unless they can steal the election who votes for people trying to destroy your livelihood and/or take your life?

Yup, and Washington will become a Chicom Province. That's why no one leaves the Union. At some point Trump will have to drop the hammer. His hands are tied because of the upcoming election. We have to get him re elected and secure both houses. Hopefully, the RINOS won't **** it away. Jim Jordan for Speaker ! Cruz Majority leader!

Nearly every thread I have been on, you've been very vocal about being anti-police. You whine, complain, and do nothing.

What have you done personally to better this country?

And if you say you "served" overseas by killing goat herders and farmers in a foreign land, I am going to laugh at you.

The real doers aren't running their virtual mouth on a forum.

REMEMBER the Wall Street occupation?

Wonder how long it will be before the ANTIFA zone becomes a needle park and becomes such a health hazard that someone will have to do something to keep the plague from spreading?

There is a game of 7 dimensional chess going on right now.

Trump and the GOP are watching and letting things play out, letting things happen.
Why? Politics. What better way to show voters WHO is whom?

The Far Left has come out of the closet. The DNC was embarrassed by Bernie saying Castro wasn't all bad. That was the tip of the iceberg. Now it's plain to see who they are.

Has anyone made the idealogical connection between the Bernie Bros. and what's going on right now? Think about it. They were the Far Left 10-15%. They already were shoving people around back in the Fall of 2019.

So what, the bad actors have occupied a few blocks of a city with a complicit mayor and complicit council people, with the police being told not to interfere. That's winning?
That's just giving spoiled brats what they have always gotten....Their Way.
Check the voting district, and the Council person for that area, I'll bet they are radicals too!

Drug gangs occupy large swaths of the city, that's been going on for years.

Why hasn't this spread out of the cities, heck, why is it confined to just small portions of the city? The bad actors and organizers know the jurisdictional boundaries. They know if they cross into an adjacent jurisdiction, one with a Sheriff, one with a police force that gets direction from someone else (not the mayor) they will meet huge resistance.
That wouldn't be good for their narrative, stopped, arrested, in jail. Then they are criminals. Right now they're playing the "freedom fighter" or "Robin Hood" narrative.

I think they are not winning anything. The support they have, was always Far Left Radical support, it was always there. By continuing this into week 2, all they are doing is alienating everyone else. Those suburban "swing" voters are not violence supporters. They own homes outside the city, they have kids, they don't want spill-over from the cities, they want law & order.

The jurisdictions outside of these Liberal cities rely on Tax money to run. That tax money comes from State Sales Tax, Income Tax and......PROPERTY TAXES. That means from people who own something. People who own something will NOT stand for looting, burning and violence. Even the Blue State Governors understand this.

This whole thing is far from concluded. The few city blocks they occupy only because it's being allowed. For now.

I need more popcorn.

I agree. Give them enough rope to hang themselves. They were already ****-holes, now the **** has grown roots.

The take over will peter out soon. Same as with other leftist "occupations". Once they have to start taking care of their own services, they get sick of it and leave. (Nobody wants to be the garbageman or clean crap off the sidewalks) The city just needs to shut off services (water, sewer, electric..) and they will disperse. I just feel sorry for the business owners and residents that got caught up in the city bailing on their duties.
One of the Antifa organizers in Seattle, an 18-year-old lesbian anarchist who wants to “abolish whiteness, capitalism, and civilization,” begged for vegan meats and soy after the homeless people they invited in took all the food.

“The homeless people we invited took away all the food at the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone.”

“We need more food to keep the area operational. Please if possible bring vegan meat substitutes, fruits, oats, soy products, etc. – anything to help us eat.”
To hell with them. They can eat each other.

Leftist run cities letting the Hard Left have a victory is nothing new. Leftist run cities letting the gangs rule the streets is nothing new. What is new is the scale of letting it grow across the country in so many cities as an election comes near to try to split the country. The Left is feeling panicked and will use the tactics they know best to cause fear and distrust. The media will gladly play along and hype this for all its worth to push the agenda that Tangerine Man bad and must be defeated and silenced. The coming storm is currently small and isolated. How far it will grow is unknown at the moment. Steady nerves are needed for now as it unfolds.

I've got an autonomous zone. Hold the title free and clear. :)
Other "movements" have been funded too. Eventually the narrative is dismantled and the bad optics kill it with the centrist left. If not, the other downstream effects will. Takes time to play out. So far I don't see any nationalists kitting up to go save the blue cities from themselves, but maybe they'll come up with a crazy rando if they hold out long enough. They'll need more fuel to keep it going. It's already losing steam in the news cycle.

Seattle-Capital Hill Autonomous Zone

I guess, between covid-19 and the mayhem of looting, er I mean protesting, I've been distracted from other news. FYI, the Seattle PD have abandoned a police station in the downtown area, which is now occupied and being called CHAZ (Capital Hill Autonomous Zone.)

Pardon my ignorance, but the anarchists are running the show: "Neither Mayor Durkan nor the Seattle Police Department have yet addressed the emergence of “Free Capitol Hill.”

“In an effort to proactively de-escalate interactions between protestors and law enforcement outside the East Precinct, Chief Best and [Seattle Police] officers have removed barricades surrounding the East Precinct while safely securing the facility,” Durkan reported last night. “In addition, [the Seattle Fire Department] has several vehicles stationed near the Precinct to ensure emerging medical needs and fires are addressed if necessary. Keeping this area safe is critical, as there are approximately 500 residential homes in this block.” (https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/tyler-o-neil/2020/06/09/antifa-militants-seize-seattle-police-hq-set-up-autonomous-zone-n512621)

Another article, with more photos, and "maps" of the Zone: https://heavy.com/news/2020/06/capitol-hill-autonomous-zone-chaz/

Pardon me, while I collect my jaw from the floor. Wow; 2020 is just full of surprises!

The inmates are in charge of the asylum. Up is down and down is up. Good has become the new evil while evil is applauded and encouraged. I'm concerned but somehow not surprised.

Didn't know, last night (6-9-20), protesters also took over City Hall in Seattle for a brief period: "The crowd chanted “Hey, hey! Ho, ho! Jenny Durkan’s got to go!” during the roughly hour-long takeover, led by Councilwoman Kshama Sawant.

Some protesters carried “Black Lives Matter” and “Durkan must go” signs, according to the Seattle Times.

“When you talk about black rights, you can’t leave out the horrific gentrification in Seattle,” Sawant told the newspaper.

She placed the blame on Amazon, which is headquartered in Seattle.

“Taxing Amazon is absolutely a part of black rights … It’s about actually putting dollars on the table to address inequities affecting the black community,” Sawant said." (Source: https://nypost.com/2020/06/10/seattle-protesters-march-on-city-hall-to-demand-mayor-resigns/)

Haven't heard a darn thing on the local (Los Angeles) news about this; thought they'd think it was a great idea, and it should have been done first here.

Just shaking my head at how things are spinning. I know, it's the Left Coast...but again, wow!

This isn't an Occupy Camp. It's not a bunch of tents in a park. They own buildings including a hotel, restaurants, and a police station to house people in, feed people, and govern from. The city will not have the political will to shut off their utilities and rich SJWs from around the country will flood them with money, which they will use to buy supplies outside their commune and bring them in to support everyone. Meanwhile people are rushing to the commune from around the country. They're already planning territorial expansions to accommodate them. They'll become more hardened and ruthless by necessity as they continue. They will turn this into a serious communist dictatorship if left alone in their bubble. Paris Commune all over again and it'll eventually result in a massacre.

If the city doesn't change their mind and shut it down, this thing can turn into a big deal.

I hope so.

I lived in Downtown Seattle 20 years ago and still keep in touch with some folks there. They are mostly Left leaning but through the years have obtained more assets and earnings while trying to maintain their progressive identities.

This is going to force the property owners and tech industry earners that have built up Seattle to have to finally make adult decisions.

Same story with Oakland

Pass the popcorn.

as I said before, they need to be careful with what they wish for, They just may get it. If they abolish all police presence in the U.S., what makes them think that we will not shoot to defend ours without any care in the world of prosecution? Because if there are no police, you will not be able to bring anyone to trial because no arrests are being made, so that means no legal system which in turn means no laws. I would strongly advise them to seriously reconsider this move.

Has to be fake news.

I was reading the internet and many subject matter experts assured the general population that without police there would be mayhem.

Well, that city has tons of police so therefore this is an impossible scenario.

Right??

Anyways, my personal support of democracy or constitutional republic or a republican form of democracy or whatever you want to call this farce is really starting to fade.

It appears that states under their governorships, cities/towns/hamlets under their mayoral systems and even down to HOAs and their presidents are just miniature kingdoms and fiefdoms for the executive.

What kind of ***** ****** mayor or city council lets a mob capture a piece of the city? A complicit mayor or city council that's who. I guess though when you are "king" or "queen" or a blooded royal of the council, its OK to disregard all authority, customs, culture, laws and the rights of others (i.e. Washington state, the federal government, private property holders or even the tax paying public that maintain the city)

Par for the course, every ones hands are tied in this situation.

Everybody knows the solution and what has to be done to right the ship, but you are trapped in the rules you setup for everyone else.

When the neoliberals and neocons masturbate furiously to b*mbing and invading some south American or middle eastern country because "harmless civilians and protestors" that are armed with ArePeeGeez, AK47s, M4s and M*NP*DS capture territory, video record Wile E. Coyote-esque executions of men, women and children and are killed by legitimate government forces they call it a human rights violation.

Nobody can do anything without the complicit media and big corporations trying to make sales by "out woking" one another by painting them (governors, mayors, president or even civilians) as The Ayatollah, Bashir Al Assad, a Venezuelan tin despot, a baathist, Hitler and the Nazis or some Chinese Communist party member.
