Some pretty cold answers. No matter how much you dislike somebody it is sad to lose a friend. Although I don't listen to Rush any more I happened to hear his tribute to Kit. He was genuinely moved.

Haters often have no shame. Thus, their hate, especially during times when they should be more humane and civil.

 

That is why it6 goes from generation to generation and time forward, sometimes one needs to taken a little time for self evaluation and when hate is what motivates that time never becomes available.

 

Often they demand respect for their losses--screaming in people's faces for respect, threatening violence over a perceived lack of respect when usually there is indeed respect.

But then offering none in return. Offering hate and denigration. In the name of some impossible, untenable restitution.

They don't understand they'll never have respect until they themselves offer respect.

Humanity is something you either have....or you don't.

 

Been a Rush listener since day 1 in Sacramento, back in 1980's. Love him or hate him, he lost a friend. No matter who you are, that sucks.

I remember him championing NAFTA and always being against a first world healthcare system. I listened to him when I was a kid, but luckily a Mr. Chuck Harder started opening my eyes shortly after.

He is there to give certain males a way to let off steam about political issues and at the same time keep them primed and ready to die in the middle east or anywhere else the Military Industrial Complex needs bodies.
