Haven't fired one of the Mark series handguns in about (ahem) alotta years but I will say that my SR-22 not quite up to par with my High Standard Duramatic M-101. If I'm concentrating, I can take at 30 feet with the M-101 and cover all 1o holes with a silver dollar . More like the bottom of a soda can with the SR-22. Which is still pretty darn good for what it is.

But I don't necessarily expect it to be as accurate as my target pistol with a 7 inch barrel. Right?

If I had to pop a prairie rattler in the head at 15 feet (Yup, it's a nice light handgun, perfect for carrying on hikes) I wouldn't hesitate to take that shot.

I have about 400 rounds of cheap Federal ammo through mine, and no issues at all. I really like mine, but almost always try to fire it in single action, the trigger on double action is too heavy. (but its heavy enough that there is virtually no chance of accidentally pulling the trigger as your pulling it out of your pocket)

I'm looking forward to magazines that have more capacity, there seems to be room for an extra 4-5 rounds in the stock magazine.

You will really like an SR22, if you don't already have a 22 pistol, you are really missing out on cheap shooting and plinking.

I picked one up today. They had the Walther P22 in the dark earth color that I was drooling over, but ended up walking out with the Ruger. I thought I was going to have to break out the cutting torch to get the grip off, but man does that large grip fit like a glove. Can't wait to shoot it this weekend.

I use Ruger SR 22's in my NRA basic Pistol classes that I teach. Mine have seen tens of thousands of rounds and are cleaned after every range session. I use Federal Auto Match exclusively in these pistols and also in my AR15 .22 conversion kit. I have had only one FTFire in this many rounds, however when I first bought the pistol I tried 50 round boxes of approx 6 different types of ammo and by far teh worst was Rem GB probably 30% failure to fire. I can't recommend this pistol highly enough.
It also fits in many different types of leather CCW holsters including my Masters belt slide that is made for my M&P 9mm and allows me to do holster drills and such utilizing the same holster and drawstroke.

Ran about a hundred rounds of Winchester & Remington bulk ammo through the SR22 this evening. Had one fail to fire on the Remington & many fail to fire/fail to feed on the Winchester 555 rd 36 grain bulk, between two shooters. I lost count, but would say near twenty ftf with the Winchester.

See if that improves when I have time to really run it through the breaking in process. On the bright side, it was accurate out of the box.

That's the exact opposite of my experience. Further proof (as if any is needed) that two guns of the same make and model are not necessarily alike.
