I've used them many times and they have great customer service.

 

I just pick up the replaceable heavy duty plastic buckles at a local backpacking store. They don't get sewed on and takes less than a minute to change out. I've never broken them except on my duty belt at work. The pack's that I use have had the same buckles for years.

good old cam buckles work great too.. also available at the above link.

 

Good old fashioned mini biners will work in a pinch, I have a couple packs I use them on.
