If Packers give 2 2019 First Round Picks and a Starting DE for the Holdout Raiders Superstar it will be biggest trade since the Raiders traded their Coach (Gruden) to the Bucs for for a 1st Rounder a 2nd Rounder and a boatload of cash .

As a Packers fan I would be ecstatic if the Raiders were this dumb. The chance of landing a talent like Khalil Mack with either of those first round picks (one the Packer's and the other was a trade from New Orleans) coming in the second half of the draft is pretty unlikely considering the winning record of the two teams.

It would be a trade on the magnitude of Reggie White or the free agent signing of Charles Woodson for the Packers. Both times we won Super Bowls. A great pickup at a time when their edge rushers are aging and likely not going to get a contract renewal.

Damn, not too many players of Mack's talent become available. I'd like it if the Cowboys could nab him but that potential package from Green Bay would be tough to beat. I kinda think you gotta go all in though to get a generational talent like Mack. And Vegas fans will be happy to just have a team so they won't mind getting worse and stocking up for the future.

Rarely does a superstar early in his career become available like Mack ,when they do many teams salivate at givin away the farm for them ... But now I feel he will come around and Raiders will pay him
What’s owed ( He saw 11 Linebackers and Defensive Ends auditioning for his roster spot last night )

Guys like Mack are game changers. He's no LT but considering his size, speed, strength and proven ability along with his penchant for staying healthy, he's worth every penny he can get. Consider what Houston is paying for gimped up Clowny and Watt, and those guy sit more than they play. As far as honoring a contract, if all of the money were guaranteed I'd agree, but a team will cut an injured player in a second, so they deserve to sell their best playing years for as much as possible. That's capitalism.

The Packers messed this trade up. They had the offensive counterpart to Mack (Rodgers) and the draft capital and salary cap room to sign him. Now he joins the NFC North with an already top 10 defense (making it a top 5 almost automatically) and will be a serious issue for the Packers' O-line going forward.

Unfortunately for the Bears I think they are inept at actually getting some wins on the board. It will be Orton/Cutler part one thousand, a great defense with a worthless offense and .500 seasons.

Bears gave up a lot but when you choose players in the draft you wish and hope and pray that they maybe end up as good as Mack. I've got a couple friends who are bears fans that are happy with the trade.

Also Packers fans went from almost getting Mack to having to watch him make life miserable for their star QB. The first huge hit he puts on Rodgers is gonna be fun.

My opinion as well. People act like draft picks are gold certificates or something. Plenty of first rounders aren't even in the NFL after 3 years. A player of Mack's caliber is drafted maybe once every 5 years. Pretty hard to have that "lucky ticket" when selecting a player.

It's rare to have that much draft capital, but the Browns have had just as much (if not more) the past several years. In the long-term this might be better for the Raiders, but they have to make those picks count. Given their horrendous drafting trend and the inherent gamble of the draft, that's not likely to happen. However, in the short-term, trading Mack makes them worse.

The Raiders still have to pay every other franchise in the league over ten million dollars as a relocation fee to Las Vegas. They also have Gruden on a ten-year, $100M coaching contract that is completely guaranteed. To top it off, they have been doing a ****ty job with salary cap management for quite some time.

Oakland is one of the worst ran franchises in the league. This trade proves that.

The Packers actually have a lot of cap space down the road, but they also have a lot of players who will need future deals. They have ~$40M and ~$70M in cap in 2019 and 2020, but with 2/3's and less than half a team under contract for those years. They had the picks to do the deal, but the issue is more centered around cash on hand, as opposed to cap. Creative GMs can figure out ways to make it work cap wise, but after Rodgers' deal, the Packers likely didn't have the ability to give another hundred million more to Mack in guarantees. That's cash on hand and it's different than the salary cap.

None of this AFC crap matters. NFC is stacked, again, with at least six teams that are legitimate Super Bowl contenders, and the Saints are stacked at every position on both sides of the ball except for LB and TE.

Also, sports media talking heads are pushing the idea of Drew Brees winning MVP this year. Probably looking for a reason to give him one before he retires.

They must be feeling guilty for robbing him in 2009 and 2011, then turning around later on and giving it to bums like Cam Newton and Matt Ryan.

Don't sell the AFC short. There are allot of good teams that about to blossom in the AFC. And as bad as the Browns have sucked the last 10 years, this team is stacked as well on both sides the ball less the QB position which is the least reliable at the moment. Their defense should be staggering good and if Gordon stays on the field, they will have one of the best receiver 1 & 2's in the game with a TE that could be Gonzalez'esk.

Denver (I'm a homer so take it for what it's worth) has a fairly easy schedule this year and with Mack out of the AFC West, I honestly think they could take the division, depending out LA does. If Ray can stay healthy, Denver will have one of the scariest defenses in the NFL. Granted, Sue getting put on IR hurts us, but having Chubb, Miller, Ray and Wolf consistently pinning their ears back every down will be serious stress on any offense, especially near the back end of games where the offense gets worn down.

Now with Gruden... I love the mans passion. He has the passion I wish Vance Joseph had... However, his player moves consistently makes me scratch my head. A 3rd for Bryant and then let him go?? Granted, Bryant was looking at another suspension, but I think I would have taken that into account well before offering up a 3rd. Win for the Steelers. But what Gruden has done successfully, is get his players to play for him. He has a pretty stacked offense but that defense would have been spectacular with Mack.

Speaking of the Steelers, even with the Bell drama, this team is insanely stacked. TJ Watt should have an all pro year this year and with JuJu getting another year under his belt, this will open up lanes for Brown big time. I think Conner could have a great year if Bell decides to hold out; at which would make NO sense....

The Jaguars... No love for them from anyone but they have some wicked talent on this team. Fournette should get top 5 RB numbers and I honestly think the FA acquisition of Moncrief will pay major dividends. Losing Lee hurt, but not that bad as I honestly think Cole has better talent and then there is Westbrook and Chark that will be excellent compliments to the passing game. Their defense is no slouch either. They moved Myles Jack back to his native position of middle LB where he is a beast and they have one of the best corners in the game.

Others that should have vastly improved teams this year will be Houston with a healthy Deshaun Watson and a healthy JJ Watt (we'll need to see how long that is this year)

The Cults will have a Healthy Luck with a VASTLY improved O-line this year. Their weakness will be their running game but with Luck, their short passing game could be their running game alternative. They also drafted the beast out of SC state in Darius Leonard.

There are a couple other teams I could add to the list of surprise teams this year that are young and up coming teams but this is becoming a rant... Sorry.

ETA: I left the Patriots out intentionally... First, because no need to put them in.. Second... It's a hate thang!
