A guy did a prank and solicited signatures at Yale University to repeal the First Amendment: The obligation on government to protect the people's rights of free speech, assembly, religion, of the press, and of petition.

Even if some people will sign any petition so as to not rock the boat, this guy still got 50 signatures in an hour, and a number of encouraging support comments to boot. He had wanted to make a joke but was appalled at how willing people were to throw away this protection of their rights.

They have every right to speak and write and petition; it's when they try to act, through legislation and enforcement, that they have violated the rights of others. Being terminally stupid is an unlimited right, and we can only hope they either recover from it, or that it leads to their amusing and public receipt of the Darwin Award.

A person could take a petition around tomorrow saying Jesus came back and we'd like to crucify him again and you know what? It wouldn't take long to fill up 5 minutes of video. Editing the video that showed a multitude people telling him to STFU would take far longer. Why or why do people continue to buy into these little BS videos?
It's satire folks, remember that? Or did you forget to pack your sense of humor in your BOB? I guarantee those that still have their sense of humor will last far longer in SHTF than those who don't.

No the people were real. What I am saying was the film was highly edited. It didn't take him 5 min to find those people, it took all day and 90% of his film hit the floor. You can make almost anything funny, even a tragic event, by editing the film.

I thought it said he got the 50 signatures in an hour. But of course it had to be edited, they couldn't show an hour on TV. Each one of those young people signed it which is really really sad

I couldn't believe my eyes but the college educated type are the new and upcoming brain washed supporters tearin USA apart. Their college professors and old hs teachers have done a number on our young peoples minds. I have made sure my kids have never been effected by these teachings through school. It is heart stopping how right and wrong doesn't excist with these educated morons. I just dont get it.

this is why i believe in free college level education. because then it would fall into my category of receiving other free government benefits: regular drug screening, regular employment counseling, and voluntarily relinquishing your right to vote until you no longer receive said benefits, excluding only American veterans. period.

Worked every grade K-12 public and the largest university in the state. This is very much representative of my experience. Our education system teaches students to swallow and regurgitate information. Not to discover for themselves or question validity. Civics isn't taught to any great depth. Most college students are actually quite gullible depending on how you present an idea. Superficially attach buzzwords like "fairness", "justice", or "equality" to anything and it's scary how many will swallow it even if in reality it's 100% absurd. Obama got a lot of mileage out of "hope" and "change".

I swear Johnny Carson used to have stuff like this on. Carson would show some guy asking questions about who the VP was or what the first amendment was. And the idiots back then didn't know the answers either.
