I bought a 07 power wagon I knew is was not going to keep up with my rovers off road but thought it might be a good daily driver took it off road
Today on a trail that my land rovers have done countless times halfway through I broke an axle, joint in the front end and poss a ring and pinion?
I don't know if they suck or Im just asking to much from it ???????

Anyone els have one or any thoughts

You bought a used truck and took it out, apparently on some trail, and something in the front end broke... you're not sure if it's a u-joint, an axle, or the ring and pinion... you can't understand how some vehicle of unkown (to us) mileage/maintenance couldn't take the (ab)use you put it through, that your rover (also of unknown mileage/maintenance) handles with ease.
My thoughts? Preventive maintenance is your friend... throttle control is imperative... a heavy right foot can create a large pile of parts in a hurry... and please learn some standard writing practices to make your posts easier to understand.

I HAVE A 89 DODGE DAKOTA AND A FRIEND OF MINE THAT I USE TO 4X WITH HAD A LAND ROVER, EARLY 00'S AND I WAS ABLE TO GO ANY WHERE HE DID, YOU JUST HAVE TO BE CAREFUL ON WHERE YOU DRIVE THEM AND HOW TO HANDLE THEM OFF ROAD, I WOULDENT GIVE UP MY DAKOTA JUST BECAUSE IT'S A "DODGE"! :whip:

Bet I can make you think twice before insulting some one you know
Nothing about.
Get me your address and I'll send a pair of pliers so you can get a grip on reality, and maybe some thicker skin.

I will say that if you show up at my house with bad intentions I will defend myself as necessary. I don't take kindly to threats, so you better be damn sure you're ready to take that step in your life.

Mods, you might want to have a talk with this guy about the forum rules.

You picked a fight. Then you pushed it further.

You call him out THEN have the audacity when he accepts your challenge to say he threatened you?

That is annoying as ****. I hate it when someone picks a fight, calls you a coward, then lacks the follow through to actually meet up. He didn't threaten you, you challenged him. That's fair game.

He isn't trying to kill you, he just wants to beat the **** out of you.

Now you either Meet him, or don't talk so much **** in the future.

I'll be contacting the mods, to make sure they don't punish him in the least. Your **** talking mouth wrote a check you ass isn't willing to cash. Don't run to mommy, man up.

People are so afraid of a fist fight, they just have to run to weapons. "self defense"

That's sad man.

Next time you want to talk **** to a person you lack the courage to face, don't pick a Pilot. LOL

Sounds like you are driving the power wagon like you would drive a Land Rover. You have to remember your power wagon weighs probably 2or3 time what the Rover weighs. It will require a Completely different driving style than your Rover or you end up with Broke stuff. Also the Axles on the power Wagons are 3/4 Ton However the Fronts have an axle disconnect which is a weak point in them.:thumb:
I replaced lots of them when I worked for 4wheelparts Wholesalers.

The Axles on the newer Power Wagon are AAM's. Dodge quit using Dana Axles in the late 90's or early 2000's (Cant remember).

Yep. And when guys get bored, they start talking about how they broke their trucks. Then a fight breaks out for no reason, and everyone gets drunk and plays in the mud. It's like 1st grade, but with beer.

I remember kids in elementary school talking about how they "rolled" their trucks or put giant tires on them. It was adorable.

actually, i use very little punctuation, capitalization, and paragraphs because i choose not to. it isnt worth all the extra typing. i have to do the one finger peck and the extra typing takes too long. if you dont wanna read it, thats fine. i guess if you work as a receptionist thats important to you.but you just verified my opinion that you are arrogant.im just glad to know i dont have to worry about dealing with you on here again. you know, you being too high class for my bad grammar, punctuation, and all.im lucky, though, that my ego isnt tied to my brilliance, how well i use my punctuation, or my ability to talk down to someone who asked a simple question. oh, look, i forgot all kinds of punctuation, and capitalization. heck, i didnt even use paragraphs!is this survivalistboards.com or secretarialcentral.com?thats all i have to say dumbygoob.
