I remember a time when Progressives/Liberals abhorred the idea of book burning; they would say it was right-wing Fascism. They declared that any idea should be freely expressed, and even if disagreed with should never be burned. They would point at Nazism as an example of intolerance and the denial of individual rights to self determination of thinking. [I don't care what Godwin thinks.]

How the worm has turned. It's evident that people such as this, now having control, are happy to throttle any different points of view from their own, and in such a way that is intended to frighten dissenters from speaking up.

It also shows that schools like this are there for pushing an indoctrination agenda, and people's kids are the victims of that.

Strangely, it is the gas-lighting manipulation that makes us believe the worm turned at all.

Fascism is a subheading of socialism i.e. democrats, leftists. (We need to constantly state the fact - Nazis are socialists, not libertarians hehe)

Democrat-fascists have always acted exactly the same. They just call what they do Right Wing, even as they do it.

It is one of the most interesting brainwashing programs of all time to constantly link fascist totalitarianism to concervatives.

The left have always been the control freaks. Clamping down on freedom is EXACTLY their standard operating procedure

Your confusion is based on a misconception. The Left are not about science in the sense of the hard sciences. Their education is in the soft sciences in areas like sociology, political science, cultural studies, history as it relates to a agenda and the other courses that make up a liberal studies education. Most of them are barely able to use a calculator to add up their bill at the fancy restaurants they frequent. The left is not at all about things that do not serve the purpose of social change. Look at how they frame the argument as those that fail to agree are "deniers".

The belief in religion bothers them because they prefer thinking of the State as being the only true religion. But they are filled with all kinds of superstitions and faiths like mother earth worship. "Save the Planet, harpoon a fat person", you know.

Hard scientists and engineers are likely not going to accept things without proof, and agendas for social change have no bearing on if a bridge can handle the load. Just the facts matter.

A good teacher/school, will teach both sides of any question, and give arguments for either conclusions.

This type of "science denial" is why I would not live in that school district--even though Oregon is a beautiful state! Maybe next the state department of education, or even the US dept of education will come to the conclusion--you don't want to confuse those little kids minds!

the funny part is the climate change alarmist nut jobs will tell you how CO2 is a greenhouse gas that rises into the atmosphere and creates a blanket over the earth to warm us..

fact 1, CO2 is only 0.04% of the atmosphere which is considered trace and not actually in high enough concentration to create a greenhouse effect, CO2 rises when temperatures rise as an effect, not a cause

fact 2, CO2 is heavier than air, it doesnt rise into the atmosphere but it stays close to the ground, if this wasnt true all plant life, followed by all life on earth would be immediately terminated

fact 3, an increase in CO2 doesnt accumulate and raise temperatures, but plants readily absorb CO2 at a faster rate as more of it becomes available, growing larger, greener, and faster, anyone who knows anything about actual greenhouses knows CO2 is beneficial to growth and many even pump it in

and fact 4, if humans are responsible for raising temperatures on earth, wtf is raising the temperatures on the moon, on venus, on mars, on jupiter? those must be our SUVs as well

__

the climate change myth is just a mechanism of control, to put BS regulations onto economy to cripple production and wreck the economy, its used as a boogieman to keep electing people who raise taxes and spend billions on "green energy research" done by companies owned by, invested in, or donates campaign funds to the politicians pushing it... its a mechanism to take from the tax payers and give it to themselves, case and point, al gore using his position as VP to divert billions of tax dollars to his private green energy company making him worth a quarter billion dollars today

to believe information to the contrary is pushed by the oil industry is just ridiculous, eve if they do not sell as much gasoline, they are selling it at a higher price per gallon actually making MORE money off a lesser amount of product than they were before extending their profits by centuries.. its making them filthy rich too

anyone who thinks this is just humans wrecking the planet and ruining the atmosphere is a grade A moron and a waste of human life

and you know where the real hypocrisy is here?.. book burning, censoring information, rewriting history to fit an agenda, and twisting science to meet their needs... everything these liberal dimwits accuse christian "extremists" of doing.. at the end of the day they are no different than the boogieman theyve painted religious people to be which makes the people who support these actions the lowest of scum

I have a particular/peculiar climate science stance:
1) Whether or not humans caused it, the climate changes.
2) Humans affect the climate -- everything else determines the climate, why would what we do not affect it in some manner to some degree, no matter how small or large? (claiming otherwise is flat out stupidity, only the amounts are truly in question here and you must know the enemy to fight it successfully when it will not come to your battlefield, the more knowledge - the better)
3) Transferring money around does not solve a single problem regarding the climate
4) A lot of climate science is a joke - studies of studies, with suppositions of connections made based upon a limited subset of data drawn from the whole. In short, we are talking junk science on the level of colon cleansing.

No matter what happens, I know that disappearing billions(trillions?) of dollars will not change a single thing for anyone to the better. They have my attention, not my mind. I believe they mistakenly think that the two are interchangeable.

climate fluctuates on a low level about every 20 years.. it fluctuates on a higher level about every couple hundred, and an even larger level about every 1200 years (global climate around 1300AD was warmer than it is now), and also warmer around 200AD and so on).. and then it fluctuates roughly every 100,000 years or so between periods of glaciation and retreating glaciers (it will continue warming on this scale for tens of thousands of more years before reglaciation begins).. and then on top of this theres an even larger cycle of about every 225 million years which is the period in between ice ages that occur like clockwork

we are in the middle of an ice age.. i know people tell you the ice age ended like 10,000 years ago but this is just false, the glaciation of the current cycle ended about that long ago, the ice age itself isnt going to end for many millions of more years where at some point both the northern and southern ice caps are going to completely thaw as the climate reverts back to the state it was in before the current ice age began (the southern ice cap is only about 30 million years old, the northern ice cap is only 2 million years old)

and the thing is, each and every one of these cycles coincide with something stellar.. to explain why ice ages occur about every 225 million years the process this is linked with is the suns travel around the center of the milky way which takes about 225 million years.. are humans responsible for this? nooooooo.. are we responsible for the candle-like "flicker" that causes shorter periods of fluctuations and patterns? nope, and what we produce as byproducts into the atmosphere have a negligible effect on greenhouse effect

like i said earlier, its all scareware to convince people to accept higher taxation so those behind the scam can get filthy rich off conning and scamming the people

__

it would be like taking someone completely ignorant of the fact that the earth wobbles and this wobble is responsible for changing seasons and then playing on that ignorance and lack of history and knowledge and then making the claim that the combined electromagnetic fields that exist within all electrical devices is throwing off the earths magnetosphere and causing fluctuations that are responsible... anyone with any intelligence knows this would be complete bull****, but this is how global warming alarmists are getting away with something that is equally as big of bull****

If I were you guys, I'd focus on the benefits of the changes you want to make rather than the consequences of not making them.

Weaning ourselves off oil to power our automobiles and embracing cleaner coal technology is a good thing. It provides more energy independence and is a benefit to national security. A decentralized power grid taking advantage of local resources is a good thing. Recycling is a good thing; it's more cost effective and reduces our reliance on imported materials.

Most of what Advocates for addressing man-made climate change are pushing for are all good things; and in the longer run they're more cost effective and better for the nation. Focus on that.

YAWN -- Your reaction is exactly what the writers were trying to provoke.

Climate Change is a fact (sorry, get over it). The human role is open to question and interpretation, particularly as to the extent of our impact. The models predicting the impact of climate change are highly questionable (the models used in 2001 showed that Manhattan would be under water before 2010, and last time I looked, Manhattan was still high and dry).

Would you be equally upset if they banned "educational" materials denying the holocaust, or insisting that the earth really is flat or roughly 6000 years old, or that the sun revolves around the earth?

I looked..I can't find climate change anywhere in Common Core. if they are teaching that they aren't doing there job. I couldn't find a lot of stuff that people think they teach either.
