I was amazed at some previous posts that said that local police don't take reports on minor theft due to budget citbacks. I think that was less than $20k in San Jose.

Losing people on the streets is bad!

Retaining all of the administrative folks is worse!

 

I've seen just that over the last 30 years. Those that do actual work, are on the streets, have been cut in half during that time.

Management has doubled is the same time period.

But then Obama kinda doesn't like having to deal with folks that don't agree with him anyway. Probably why he's on the road with Bob and Bing instead of working with Congress to get things done.

So I will have to get a job, pay for my own medical insurance, buy my own food, buy my own medicines, take care of my family and not have the government make sure I am a good father and husband? Screw that.

It will be nice to have a little more money in my pockets for a change. That's change I can believe in.

 

OMG! as a society we would strive (economically, financially, industrially, environmentally, heath care wise, educationally, and so much more) if government is kept to a minimum/basic.

Not to be a Political discussion, but, if true, what changes do you see coming as far as government vs. self reliance in America? Will americans adapt or will things go downhill even faster than they have been?

If true, the part of the population that has always thought folks like us are crazy for the "prep work" we do will be singing a different tune when we are proven right and they are left holding the short end of the stick because they weren't ready for whatever hardships arise. We will just have to remain diligent and wait and see what happens. Personally, I think it's just a scare tactic to help his reelection campaign.

My biggest desire for many years was for the government to leave me the hell alone.
I never would have believed it - Obama is going to make my wish come true!

 

don't we all wish! but I fear he will get another 4 years. Seems there are more with their hands out then many realize. Look at OWS! all those people - voting age - are telling us in which direction they want to see America go - socialism.
