I'd give them all a special merit badge for that!!
Obama boo'd at 100th anniversary as his recorded message played.
Obama was a no-show. He was appearing on "the View" in an attempt to court the female vote.

The Scouts were here...

Obama was here...

What a disgusting little 'man'.

Amazingly, that video doesn't work now. I did move on to others showing his speech, and I have to say that if I was a Scout, it wouldn't have been the highlight of my jamboree.
Those 70,000 scouts are future voters and they know when they have been shunned. I'll bet they will do some shunning at the voting booth when many of them vote forthe first time in 2012.

Hey numbnuts, they're booing him because he snubbed their little super duper 100th anniversary nerd party, not because of any of his policies. Had he shown up there ,he would have been greeted by a roaring ovation.

It's kinda like when Pig Palin was booed at a book signing by her idiot followers, because she stopping signing books early.

A step down--don't think so. Makes me proud of them, wish I had been there. Was there when klinton failed to appear. He said the Scouts stand on homosexuals was the reason. Says a lot about slick willy and his ideals.
Congrats to the young men who had the guts to voice their opinion of one who is diametrically opposed to most of their Scouting ideals and goals. Hand salute to you my young friends and leaders.

Uhuh. And where else are you going to get a large group of Scouts together that can voice their disapproval of that chump in one hit?

The Scouting movement is the cornerstone of decent youth. It was their 100th anniversary and Obama couldn't be bothered to turn up - choosing a low rent TV show instead.

I'd give them all a political awareness merit badge.

They should have been more respectful than to boo a president. It does not matter if they agree with his policies or not. I have to wonder just how many of them understand his policies after all? They should at least have some respect for the office. Having said that, he should have been there, not on that moronic show The View. If an individual wants to boo the president that is totally different than a group of boy scouts in uniform.

Boy-president diss'es Boy Scouts. Sent recorded teleprompted message instead. That's a lot of Scouts, Scout parents and former Scout voters to dump in favor of 'The View', eh.
100th anniversary?.. no big deal compared to the cackling ladies on "The View.'

Did Pres. Obama Diss Boy Scouts' 100th Anniversary for 'The View'?

President Barack Obama, the honorary chairman of the Boy Scouts of America, will not speak in-person before the group on Wednesday at Fort A.P. Hill in Virginia, as part of the organization's 100th anniversary celebration. However, the president is sending a videotaped message to the scouts for Wednesday, the same day he will be in Manhattan to tape an appearance for ABC TV’s talk show “The View.”

Bob Dries, chairman of national news and media at the Boy Scouts of America Jamboree – a gathering that happens every four years and attracts thousands of scouts from around the world – told CNSNews.com that the organization was told on Monday that the president had scheduling conflicts and would not be speaking in-person at the week-long event.

The BSA had scheduled its Wednesday arena program to include remarks by the president at 11 a.m. in front of the more than 45,000 scouts who will be in attendance.

The White House did not confirm to CNSNews.com that the president would not speak live at the Jamboree on Wednesday, but reporters were sent an e-mail at 1:45 p.m. on Monday announcing that the president will be in New Jersey on Wednesday afternoon to talk about the economy before he travels on to New York City to film his appearance for “The View’s” Thursday edition.

Also, shortly after the White House e-mail was distributed, Bob Dries confirmed that Jamboree officials had been informed the president would not be speaking in-person but would address the scouts via pre-taped remarks.

Since the Jamboree was launched in 1937, sitting presidents have been invited to speak at the event in their role as the honorary chairman of the BSA. That year, President Franklin D. Roosevelt spoke at the inaugural Jamboree, held on the Mall in Washington, D.C.

Obama’s three predecessors spoke at the event – George H. W. Bush in 1989 and Bill Clinton in 1998 in-person, and George W. Bush who spoke via video in 2001 when bad weather prevented him from traveling. George W. Bush did speak in-person at the 2005 Jamboree.

THESE,...are Obama's scouts...

These scouts happened to be 'scouting' during the 100th anniversary jamboree and hit a window not to be repeated for another 100 years. Pretty neat, huh. 100 years. The first Scouting centennial. I think that's an event to remember.
Enter president obama...
100 years of Scouting... vs another episode of "The View"..
What to do?? What are his priorities?
Honor the institute of scouting, with all it has contributed to American youth? ..or
Vote-whore himself for some face time on a hen show?
Go for the Oprah votes! Atta' boy obama,.. great political move!
This bum makes me sick. Along with 99.999% of politicians.
Priorities?? Election, then re-election.
Boo obama??? You d@mn betcha!!
Congratulations to the order of the political-boo-badge!

Well, ovomit is just a man. So are all the kings, and conversely queens, presidents, dictators etc who have ever ruled. There is a reason that he was boo'd by these 'scouts' and it had nothing to do with leadership. Too bad more US entities aren't doing the same. It really shows the way america has been dumbed down and pacified when it takes a group of boy scouts to make a statement that by rights is really an adult issue. Too many people are willing to kiss his rear end instead of stand up to him and his disrespectful disregard of American life. The spew is not it.
