New texas-mexico border barricades

I crossed from Texas into Mexico today by walking across the Rio Grande on a bridge and was surprised to see on my return that the Border Patrol/DHS has now set up a manned barricade in the center of the bridge over the Rio Grande (right on the line that divides Mexico from the USA). What this means is that illegal aliens cannot set foot on American soil without proper documentation and therefore can be legally refused entry.

This is a long overdue and efficient tactic that I've been suggesting for months. The several BP/DHS agents I talked to about it were very happy about it and said it was working perfectly! :thumb:

The State of Texas is up to the task.

We've been footing most of the bill when it comes to border security but welcome all help from the military and the Feds

People that don't live in the border states (including most politicians) really don't have a clue as to what we've been having to put up with for many, many years now

The crime is tremendous, maybe not in the border cities but in cities just outside of those

I cannot explain in one post all the stuff I've seen in the last year much less the last 40 years here in Texas

It is just short of being a full blown crisis

El Paso is another city I like to avoid. It's not uncommon to have stray rounds from Cuidad Juarez landing in ELP.

I hear ya' on the stuff happening there. We have the same thing over here.

When thousands of invaders are passing through nation after nation with the intent of breaching ones borders, demanding entrance, medical care, food, clothing, shelter, etc but have no wish to respect laws or become citizens.... It's a crisis. The tens (hundreds?) Of millions already inside represent whatever is the next level up from a crisis.

Um, you guys know that most illegal aliens arrive by way of the airports as tourists ans simply don't leave, right? the people showing up athe Mexico/US border are pretty much legitimate refugees seeking help. Despite what Trump keeps saying, NO terrorists are arriving through Mexico OR Canada. Meanwhile some 150,000 American citizens or legal residents are crossing illegally to Canada yearly since Trump started his run for office. Doesn't say much for the "good ole USA."

Didn't you just post that President Trump is clueless? As someone who A: lives in a border state and actually sees the problem and B: knows a number of Border Patrol agents who are trying to contain the problem, allow me to be succinct: you are effing clueless.

The people showing up at the border are NOT pretty much legitimate refugees. Just get that idiotic idea out of your head right now. Leaving their country because they can't find a job there is NOT grounds for asylum. Did you also know, no, probably not, that over 80% of the petitions for asylum are denied because the petitioner's claims do not meet the standards for asylum.

Did you also know that anyone who shows up at the US-Mexico border and crosses at a place other than an established port of entry has entered illegally? At that point, they are in violation of US immigration law and subject to imprisonment.

In 2017, almost 416,000 were caught crossing illegally or were turned away. That is caught. How many do you think were able to evade the BP?

Please, start educating yourself with facts before engaging in a conversation on a subject you clearly know little about.

I don't get the whole SJW join a conservative board and troll it.

I have seen that on another conservative board, too. They had to set up a whole "Apologetics" section for them to play (it was a Christian board).

Do they really think they will convince us? Most of us have pretty solid opinions. I may not like some but I have never seen someone waver or switch sides just because a liberal came along and threw some rocks.

I am conflicted. As everyone knows, I have an illegal welfare cheat living next door. I want them gone. But my yard guy is a sweet and wonderful man, but I truly doubt he has papers. Currently I am at "keep both" but that could change.

We definitely need to stop the NEW ones, though. And deny birthright citizenship. That would help tremendously.

If all they have to do is screw, make a baby, and drop it on American soil to get a lifetime of entitlements/welfare they're going to do it.

Saw an article that said the Mexican gov is helping a caravan go to "unprotected Texas border areas". I didn't read it all the way through, but it sounded like the Mex gov was aiding and abetting the illegal issue. This after I thought they said they'd help stop it.

Mexico isn't our friend and we know they have no desire to stop it. It's to their benefit to assist it. More money for them given the amount of money sent across the border when they see more of their people do it.

They do nothing to keep the caravans out of their country at their border. In fact, they have been shown to have left the gate open and unattended. Accident? No.
They actively are escorting and assisting these caravans navigate through their country with the known destination of the US.
What is to be made of this? Only thing I can come up with is Mexico is intent on seeing the US overrun and destroyed. WHY are we doing nothing!?!

Speaking of invaders, how much longer is this crap going to go on?

https://www.foxnews.com/us/alleged-.../alleged-nyc-subway-shooter-suspected-ms-13-member-was-in-us-illegally-ice-says

Alleged NYC subway shooter, a suspected MS-13 member, was in US illegally, ICE says

The suspected MS-13 gang member accused of fatally shooting a member of a rival gang in broad daylight on a New York City subway platform is a Salvadoran national who is in the U.S. illegally, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency told Fox News on Tuesday.

Ramiro Gutierrez, 26, is set to face charges of second-degree murder, gang assault and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the Sunday afternoon killing of 20-year-old Abel Mosso, who authorities said was a member of the rival 18th Street Gang. ICE said it had lodged an immigration detainer so that they could be contacted prior to his release.
So the questions I have are:

1. will deBlasio and NYPD comply with ICE's request or spring the suspect?
2. when is deBlasio going to admit his city has been overrun with animals?

Need to hunt these animals down. President Trump is right. It is the Democrats who live in a bubble.

That's a good idea for keeping Central Americans out - one that cannot be accomplished with a wall.
