Hey guys it's been years since I been on any form. What brought me here was trying to find out what happened to the "maineprepper" on YouTube. I loved his stuff and haven't heard anything in years. While searching the internet for information I saw that a member on this form by the name of Ian Treloar commented on a post on this form. He said that he had some of the "maineprepper" 's videos saved on a hard drive. Is there any way I could private message that member or could somone tag him in this post? Also does anyone have any updates or information on the "maineprepper"? I really miss that guy and hope he's doing well.

You got me to wondering so I started looking. You are in a bit of luck. MP has some of his videos back up. The channel is called Maineprepper Reruns. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVumqi8UmM3XKZT9QM5fGLg

Last time Southernprepper1 said anything about him was in 2016. I've been on here since 2011 and Sp1 has never been a member here.

His videos are even more important now, i'm glad to see at least some of them are back up.

Thank you sir, I did find that channel but I think it's ran by somone else other than him that just uploaded some old videos.

This is definitely a cold case but I'm determined to find something out

Maineprepper had to quit Youtube and focus on getting better was the last I heard.

He came on here and posted a couple times because he was dating Patriot Nurse and a few of us here stated our honest opinion regarding her and he tried doing the knight in shining armor thing. I thought he was a pretty good guy.

I haven't looked for any SouthernPrepper1 videos in years. I assume he is still doing his thing, but have not checked to see.

I thought he had suffered a traumatic brain injury during the war. I don't think anyone had any influence over the progression that seemed to be increasingly robbing him of the ability to speak smoothly and coherently. Which must have been really hard for him, because it was obvious he was rather gifted in public speaking and discernment before his injury.

I'm no fan of P.N., but I can't see how she could have made his condition worse.

Yes, Main Prepper suffered a serious brain injury during the war.

When he first started making videos, he was at a military hospital in Washington state. He wasn't bed ridden, he would go outside to make videos.

Upon being discharged from the hospital and military, he returned home to Maine, bought a house on something like 20 acres and built a huge barn.

The vast majority of his videos were good, but he mentioned once or twice about how much time and trouble he had making them, because of having to do retakes.

Fortunately, the brain injury didn't mess up his cognitive thinking.

I found the Maine Prepper to be very interesting, informative and on the sensible side.

I decided to look around and found this YouTube Channel:

Description: "Maineprepper may have disappeared, but his work is too important to allow it do disappear. Some of his content can be viewed here".

Looks like there are 123 Main Prepper videos on this mirror channel:

Welcome

I am a 20 year US military retiree.

I am a prepper, off-grid, organic farmer living in Maine.

I know a bunch of others just like me.

We carry emotional baggage. Some of us are good for decades this way, and some of us will break down at unexpected times. It happens.

I have nothing but praise and respect for 'Maine Prepper' and for 'Patriot Nurse'. I lift a glass of whiskey in salute to both of them.
