They are a couple of hours from me, in Mt. Olive, NC.
The University of Mt. Olive has some good agriculture programs too, I have been there for a weeklong workshop a time or two, and take students there from time to time for FFA events. The pickle factory is cool, and they are pretty decent as far as companies go. They do source some things from India, but still get a lot from the US. NC is the #2 cucumber producer in the US, mainly because of Mt. Olive.
 
In this case cucumbers came before pickles, mt. Olive was started as pickle maker when cucumbers were noted to be rotting in the fields.

I'm not a big pickle eater but like to have on hand small jars of bread and butter chips and kosher baby dills, just like those small whole pickles more than sliced spears.
That is interesting, I didn't know that, I had always assumed the cucumber production came in response to the pickle company.
Mt Olive is a nice little town, I have always enjoyed my visits there, whether they were just for the day or multi day/night trips.

NC is #1 in sweet potato production too, the eastern part of the state makes a lot of yams and pickles.

What defines a ‘Kosher’ dill?🤔
I found several answers but basically they are produced with Kosher salt and without non-kosher additives then fermented. Also several answers on whether or not they meet Jewish dietary law.
 
Kosher salt is just coarse salt without any iodine added.
"Kosher pickles" traditionally are made with garlic. It's just a name for a particular style of pickle seasoning.
The pickles may, or may not, be "kosher-certified".
 
i usually buy their diced jalapenos.
it's not like there's not a gazillion choices
for pepper products here in the barrio
annex, but the mt olives have the proper
vinegar taste like what my family or
myself would make for our own consumption.
That's all I buy from them.
Used to when my momma and granny
were living and healthy, we'd make
gallons and gallons of pickled goods.
cucumber pickles and okra included.
These days I just buy a fair jar of
inexpensive dills and add dill and garlic
and pepper corns, etc. to my own taste

semi related- I hope everybody has
all the jars and lids and rings etc. that
you might need for a while.
I'm remembering the mess during C19
and how canning supplies and such
were scarce and expensive
