My stocks are down a couple thousand. I'm stashing cash. I think the political unrest will drive them lower. If biden should win, lets consider a complete meltdown. good time to buy. Recovery will take a few years but will happen. When Trump wins the markets should rise quickly

 

Probably bounce back at least 50% tomorrow. Glad I don't have a lot of money in the markets. Too volatile for my tastes.

 

I am *ok* with being in the market...could be the 1600% gain over the past 3 years compared to the 31% of the S&P500 though.

 

Taking comfort that I have now been long enough in the game to have suffered worse days.

 

Ended down just over 500 points. OH-um just another day. Let's just see what happens over the next couple weeks.

 

The markets are bad today and IMO will get worse till the election is over. If Biden wins he wants it all any way. Estates will be taxed at a high rate even though we already paid taxes on the money. The Dems are out to screw us. if they win. Money and Power are their GOD.

 

They said the same before Obama took office and yet even though the markets initially were in recovery mode making money in the markets was as easy as falling off a log in both his terms.
Increased rates of tax on estates would most likely prompt wealth earlier dispersion of accumulated assets not a bad thing for the US economy.

I expect gold came down in part because it was due for a correction, and part because investors were selling it to buy down stocks.
