I can't believe Iran would want a straight out fight with our forces. Even for them, that would be stupid.

I remember sometime back in the late 80s the exact same thing happened. The Iranian response was 3 speedboats that came out to challenege a cruiser.

As of this printing, not all pieces of said speedboats have been located

The Iranians do this all the time, the buy up the local stocks of Bayliners, put a dummy mine on the back, and run around with smoke pots flooding the world with red smoke.

They have their "Iran strong" moment, we have a chuckle, everyones a winner!

 

They must have received another shipment of russian bilge pumps to keep their crappy ships afloat long enough to get out of port.

 

Iran has the "Sizzler" in their arsenal which makes the Exocet and Tomahawk (though not anti-ship) look like childs play...

Just ask the British how many warships they lost during the Falklands conflict due to the Exocet fired from aircraft and shore to sea based...

Iran is not Iraq, Libya or Afghanistan folks! They have plenty of missiles to fire back with and if Russia/China get behind them (doubt it but you never know) now you got major nuclear powers involved!

While you are correct (except the arrogant part)

The US has very effective anti missile capabilities on warships which the Britsih did not have at the time. The Falklands (in terms of military technological advances) was eons ago

 

Watch how fast the American sheeple believe everything that the govt tells them, and heads into another war for israel.

Iran will probably sink a US warship......and NOW we got lots of probable cause and "MOTIVATION" to get in there and fight israel's war......

 

If Iran sinks a US warship then the United States should bomb them back into the stone age.

 

I'll bet a gorilla that if the Iranian leadership drop one mine in the Straits of Hormuz, then they won't have any offensive forces within a month.

 

Anything to keep the pockets of our "Leaders" lined...
