Its September 11, 2017.

Have we forgotten??

I remember every time they feel me up at the airport in the name of "security".

You have to remember to most everyone younger than 25 (roughly 25-30 percent of the US population) it's no different then Pearl Harbor. It's something that happened, you see on old news footage, and you have no personal connection to it. That will only get worse as times goes on.

No, everyone hasn't forgotten. A lot of people are busy now. Wildfires in the west, floods, hurricanes, school starting.

Life has to go on. Being busy doesn't mean we've forgotten. I've already thought about it several times this morning, remembering where I was, listening to the radio, deciding to go home early.

But life has to go on.

To be fair, now, a good portion of Americans are either recovering from a hurricane(Houston), running from a hurricane(Florida), or are getting ready for severe weather(the whole gulf coast), OR dealing with wildfires.

Who CARES what the talking heads on the news say? The only time I ever enjoyed watching the news anyway was when I was in the 82nd at Bragg, they would put the news on in the Defac in the mornings with no sound. Robin Meade was in her tall hooker boots phase, who CARED what she was saying....

I enlisted and RE-enlisted over 9-11 so I'm pretty sure I will never forget.

I was stocking a vending machine while they played TAPS at the time the first airplane hit.

I will never forget turning on my computer and seeing the footage on my home screen.

The only thing that {G BUSH } did in his whole presidency that made me proud was when he climbed up on that pile of rubble with that fire fighter and said [SOON THOSE PEOPLE THAT DID THIS WILL SOON BE HEARING FROM ALL OF US. I actually thought that we were going to destroy AFGANISTAN, And i mean really destroy it. BUT 16 years later and we are still there a trillion $ and thousands of wounded and KIA. Now President trump has let the military talk him into sending more troop,s and more money, under the B/S that we need to train the afgan army. If in 16 years we cant train these tin soldier,s to fight and most if not all run when thing,s get rough or they turn their weapons [WE BOUGHT} on our military. IMO this is crazy, we need to pull all our people out and destroy everything we built [ROADS/ infrastructure, and all the poppy fields. Maybe that would get the rest of those backward creatins in the other mid east to take notice .
Also have all of congress with the president on world wide TV. telling the rest of the world THIS IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR COUNTRY, ifwe ever get attacked again and the terrorist,s came from your country. NO MERCY and nothing left of your country except bomb crater,s. And that go,s for the saudi,s who IMO are our worst ennemy.
Our military upper brass are useing president trump,s EGO to have him go back on his word he gave to us that he would get us out of that part of the world.
ALSO on the way out take out their ability to pump oil . JMO

Setting here today I've been watching Fox and they have been showing several memorials going on in between showing the mess in Florida and it going on in Georgia.

Vice Pres Pence was at a memorial where the plane went down in Pennsylvania. Trump was doing something , reading a letter or something about Sept 11, I was busy at that moment so missed whatever it was he was doing then they showed relatives there at the tower site going through their memorial, reading off the names and some of the relatives speaking.

I stopped watching any other news about 6 months ago because the idiots don't report hardly any news of the good stuff about Trump.

Nope, I haven't forgotten. I still remember the smell of the hotel room I was in, in California, when I turned on the TV on at 6:00 AM local to get ready for work.

I was working in CA. I'm originally from NYC/Long Island and an East Coast guy. I was in those towers many times as a kid. Mostly because of family and/or friends visiting from Germany.

But I agree, I think many have forgotten.

$2+ Trillion later, countless lives, countless service men and women with lost limbs and PTSD, and where are we?

**** the ********, let them rip each other apart and burn Europe to the ground.

Time to be concerned about what happens here.

We have been TOLD to forget. By our betters. Not all moslems are terrorists doncha know. We have been told to welcome them in with open arms, never criticize them, never speak wrongly or otherwise about them. We can't use the term "muslim terrorism" because that hurts their feelings.

We aren't supposed to draw attention to their attrocities. If we even draw a chalk memorial on a college sidewalk, the moslem Director of Facilities Maintenance, Shehadeh Abdelkarim, has one of his lackies power wash it off.

I remember as does everybody who witnessed it 16 years ago. Our betters have told us to forget WHO DID IT and all the rest of the 'religion of peace' terrorist acts.

Because of my very conservative Christian upbringing and military service, I knew immediately "who done it," even as the towers were burning and I could hear the smacking of jumping people hitting the ground as events were being reported. People around me kept on wanting to believe it was an accident or insisted "the Muslims wouldn't do something like this." It wasn't long before enough of the truth came out that there was no excuse anymore. However, it didn't take long for PC to spin and ignore... and people wanting to believe that "all is well."

All is not well... forgetting/ignoring 911 is just a symptom.

The liberal churches with lip-service Sunday School/Bible study and anti-Judeo-Christian God schools/media have set this country up... to get the masses to believe/do what they're told, regardless of what is right/true.... Political correctness is the new religious police, and the very real consequences of violating PC is the weapon that will usher in the Satanic religion of Islam and its reprehensible Sharia, and destroy this country. The sheep(le) are being led to slaughter for lack of knowledge...

6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Hosea 4:6

Once upon a time, Lutheran Sunday School children were mandated to read such "antiquated," "obscure," "adult" works as Martin Luther's On War with the Turk, On Whether Soldiers Too Can be Saved, etc. Even though he he did not know what would transpire in 1683, Luther hit the nail on the head in the 1500s http://media.sabda.org/alkitab-8/LIBRARY/LUT_WRK5.PDF

As children, we were taught about the power and necessity of prayer and spiritual warfare
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12, KJV

Once upon a time, the public schools taught real history and other necessary things (reading, writing, math, science, etc.), and had Christian prayer and Bibles in the classrooms (which were actually read/consulted). In areas with large Jewish populations, schools taught about the Jewish holidays, as well as the Christian ones, no tests were scheduled on Jewish or Christian holidays, and Jewish kids could be excused from school for the Jewish holidays. Easter break encompassed the whole Holy Week and Jewish Passover, and Christmas break was actually called "Christmas break." Children were truly free to opt out of Halloween festivities, and could be excused from school altogether on that day on religious grounds. Children in public schools today cannot read the Bible or Torah, or even speak of the Judeo-Christian God, but are taught and tested Islam under the guise of "multiculturalism."

It is past time to bring back what we were taught, remember our history, and honor those who died for us to be free... our country will assuredly be lost if we do not.

I'd say that we've forgotten what it's like to not be at perpetual war but how many years in this nation's history have been truly peaceful?

I'd say that we've forgotten what it means to have have a government that doesn't spy on us 24/7 and have the right under multiple unconstitutional acts to do whatever they feel like to our persons and our property.

I'd say we've forgotten what it's like to walk through an airport efficiently and not be accosted and molested and thieved from by high school dropouts.

I'd say we've forgotten what it's like to have a Federal Budget that was anywhere near sustainable, responsible and accountable.

It is not politically correct to talk about 911, because of the continuing anti-Judeo-Christian God agenda/rhetoric, and because of the underlying truth, which is horribly uncomfortable to most Americans, who cherish freedom, especially religious freedom (whether they understand/realize this or not) is that this is a continuation ofbecause the centuries-old war of Islam against the Jews and Christians... Khaybar 628... Siege of Vienna 1683... Barbary 1801-1815... Beirut 1983, 1984... USS Cole ... WTC bombing, 911 September 11, 2001... (far too many to list)

As has been written millions of times about the Nazi holocaust (that is also being busily forgotten)...

Never forget

I try never to forget the hardships of others not just 9/11, but military and civillians globally in struggles and let it fuel me to push towards building abundance in my own life and cooperation with my neighbours, friends and family . Yesterday was emotionally overwhelming and I had no connection to the 9/11 disaster . Today I regroup and try to do my best to live simply , sustainably and peacefully .

I was in Bosnia when 9/11 happened. Was on an op and had gone radio black. When we rolled back into camp Comanche a few days later, everyone was in full battle rattle and acting weird. By the time we parked the trucks we were told what happened and we needed to go get on to contacting our families back home. We were literally rushed to the internet cafe and other folks insisted they would download our gear.
None of my family lives in NY anymore so I figured they were safe but sent an email anyway.
To this day I'm bothered by watching someone attack my "home" while I was away trying to babysit other countries people.
Then, I add in the Benghazi losses on the same date. Still no resolution to that and our failed "leaders" have escaped being held accountable.
So much blood, so much treasure. Lost.
For what?
Why didn't we go after the Saudis? Their people.
Why didn't we simply level the middle east.
Dad always said "poop or get off the pot!". We've been taking half measures and nation building for almost 20 years now. Our border is still unsecure. Our government has grown massively intrusive but woefully unproductive. And we are growing new generations who would happily destroy the US from the inside.
Nope... I'll never forget.
