You all know that many hundreds of bear were hunted and killed by people in the early days of our country with muzzle loaders, right?

You dig a big pit and then fill it with wood, light it up and when it's all burned out you line the pit with peas.

I bet the bear would get a pretty bad abrasion from that when his decapitating swipe does it's work.

I always wondered if bears could actually do that or if it's just a myth.

 

I recall seeing a Faces of Death video of a man harassing a Grizzly. The bear tried to walk away several times the guy poked the bear in the ass. The guy pulled the hair and the bear spun, stood full height , guy taking pictures not retreating , bear performs a haymaker right cross and decapitated him. So yeah they can do that.

 

I bet the bear would get a pretty bad abrasion from that when his decapitating swipe does it's work.

This incident was with a black bear. There claws are shaped different than grizzly....

A guy near here went out on his deck to see what his ankle biter dog was upset about. The bear ran across the deck between him and the dog.. On its way by the bear bitch slapped the guy across the face.. This leaving him with 7-8 surgeries and a year or more in bandages and stitches..

Her is a good size black bear , with 2 cubs 60 feet to the right , I was working on my porch 60 feet away when i looked up and saw her standing there eye balling me .
The posted sign is above my head.
I would not want to wrestle with her ,hunt her with spears and dogs .
The pic is a little shaky I was heading for the front door and my dog beat me in side .
She was around 400lbs

I’m a lover 🥰 not a fighter , I was just talking sweet to her .
I have bears running all over at my place in the spring and fall .
this pic was taken in July it seams like the mothers like it up here .
i Get some really big males up here in the fall , there is one that I can see over the hood of my Jeep .
they don’t worry me much I just keep a look out , keep my doors closed and I open my windows from the top .
I do have a 12g pump at the front and back door Just in case .

What about 8 English mastiffs wardogs there huge btw over 200lbs and suited up purely hypothetical it would make good YouTube viewing for sure

 

I’m sure it would take 8 good swats to kill thee dogs , they are out classed buy the grizz

 

It's insane how strong they are mind u the world's smallest bear the sun bear weighs just 60kg but regularly kills people and dogs

I had a small bear 150lbs tear the trunk lid off my buddy’s car for a liverwurst sandwich
with pickles .
Opened it like it was a beer can .
A 200 bunch of 200lb dogs won’t take a 900 lb grizz they are a eating Machine .
One swat one kill .

Then pics are the sun bear weighs just 60kg n kills dogs people n even gives tigers a fight if attacked

 

I actually reenlisted in the friggin Army for an Alaskan tour to hunt Brown bear…Had to be there a year to become a resident and avoid the out-of-state fees…a year later I just didnt want to kill one anymore….

I don’t know And I would not want to live on the difference , my money gos on the 900lb grizz every time .
One swat one dog .
I bet the paw is 12” wide with 5 “ claws .
My buddy shot one out west andhe has it standing in his living room 9’ tall
Scary looking thing and that’s after it’s been stuffed .

 

IT REALLY doesn't matter if you dress like a porcupine..
IF a grizz really swats you, he will wind up with a sore foot and you will be broken in half with multiple fractures and crushed internals.

 

Looks like I'm going to run headfirst at hyenas on the African seregetti instead spear in hand ,he worth it for the YouTube views alone

 

The bears are awesome my buddy shot a big black bear 400lb gutted out and drained .
He shot it as it stood up on his hing legs from 20 yards chest shot 30/06
the bear ran 100 yards thru a stand of trees 3 to 6” thick snapping them off at the ground .
It took one more shot to finish him . I could only imagine chewing on a 900lb grizz that would be a mouth full
