Mine is Rapala's Skitter Pop - when you get that thing poppin' just right I dig the sound it makes and the Bass seem to as well

What is your favorite topwater lure?

Busher, they come in frogs and mice. Body is soft plastic/rubber and is hollow. When a fish bites it, the body collapses and lets the hooks grab.

I toss them near the shore or in the lilly pads. Then every couple seconds give it a quick tug to mimic the movement of a frog pushing thru the water.
Do it nice and slow and the fish will hit.

I like everything previously mentioned, with the exception of frogs. I haven't tried using them, but just might look around now.

I have a lot of luck here and in my native TX with Heddon Tiny Torpedoes, but my all time favorite has got to be my Heddon Tiny Lucky 13's, which I refuse to use anymore. If I lose one, I can't replace it simply by going to the store anymore.

If there's a lot of grass that would foul my hooks, I've been going to the Kopper's Live Target hollow-body frog. Bass just crush it.

If I can get away with it, Lunker buzz bait tuned as shown by Kevin Van Dam in Season 5 of 'The Bass Pros'. Basically, flatten out the top of the rivet where it meets the blade as much as possible. Pliers work nicely for this, just takes a little time. Remove any coating on the bottom of the blade. You're looking for nice, metal to metal contact, and as much as you can get. Turns a buzzbait into a squeak machine that bass hate. If you can find a stainless steel rivet, that's supposed to make it even louder than the stock rivets.

Red/white jitterbug and a yellow hula popper have filled buckets for me.
I still get a child like giggle when a bass nails them.

In the summer when dragonflys are out, a 2" blue/silver rapala or a blue/shore zara puppy, teeny torpedo, have really done good for me on all types of fish.

One last toy is a Heddon Crazy Crawler. I've retired most of mine, but still have
a glow belly version. I like the Jitterbugs better, but I still like to watch that little
guy paddle acrossed the surface :)

Know Im long winded, but gotta throw out(pun intended) a flash back to the 80's:a pink floating worm. It still has its place too.
