Happy Father's Day.

VFW Post 1279 would like to thank every father out there who was attentive to his children... and their mother. A growing child needs a positive influence with good parenting, and a good father is an indispensable part of that equation.

Of course, being a veterans organization, we offer special thanks to those fathers who lost so much time with their children as they were away from home in the service of their nation... They were making the world a better / safer place for them in the future.

Above all... we offer thanks for those fathers who gave their lives for this nation, never to see their children again, and for the countless young men, who died, having given up their chance to ever become a father.

According to the "woke" crowd....
Fathers are now referred to as "Insemination Providers"

Maybe that is how it is in there world... But there is a hell of a difference between a "Father" and an "insemination provider"...

Enjoy the day..

In their world I believe it's called a "baby daddy"...

I told my adult son the night before I wanted to do a relay with him and myself for fathers day.
Want to see just how far my electric bicycle will go on a charge.(for future reference)
Wanted to know if he wanted the first leg at 6:00AM ...he said sure when I texted him.
I over slept and got a hold of him at 6:30 ...he said I thought you were joking.
Nope I'll do the first leg (going through 3 connecting subdivisions with twisty roads and elevation changes).
All together we got 34 miles wrung out of it....which I thought was good considering the elevation changes.
I got wrung out also.
