Read all the information on site. Learn by looking at others who are doing the same thing or something similar. Be unique be creative be descriptive, 100 percent keep customers happy. Advertising your product with great detail . Use advertising words. Keep it short and a simple. Good luck

 

I've sold a very few things on etsy, and was horrified at the fees they charged, plus when you set up a listing there are boxes auto-checked, and if you go back & forth a few pages while creating listing, even if you UN-checked them, those boxes become checked again. I sold a rare HTF item for around $300 and only made about $200 after shipping and fees. More recently, while shopping on etsy, I made a purchase, then found the identical item elsewhere for about half the price...contacted seller immediately to resolve, and they chose to just cancel my order. I expected a direct refund to my credit card yet only received an etsy "gift card" meaning etsy kept my money and wants me to spend it only on their site. I'm about done with etsy!

 

When my daughter was 10 she set up a business with them, she made and sold cheap jewelry. She was doing quite well when all of a sudden Etsy just shut off her account, for reasons unknown.

 

best to be very cautious with Etsy, it is not the same experience as buying with other online vendors, and if you're selling....see my experience above. So sorry your daughter had a bad experience too! can she try facebook marketplace perhaps?
