Illegal guns is a specific classification. I forget the exact definition but it is used by antigunners because it includes more than guns just used in crimes.

1. No private sales unless there is a background check.

Go there. Tell your congressman to vote this s*%t down. It limits my ability so sell my own firearms if I wanted to or to buy them from an individual selling his guns. It would require private sellers to do a background check through an FFL putting paperwork on otherwise paper free guns.

Was the anti gun advertisement shown last night? If it was, I missed it.

 

I'm all for getting rid of "illegal guns." However, I don't think that should infringe on the perfectly legal gun owners' activities. I would like to see all states share reciprocity with each other's Concealed Carry permits, and I think private gun sales should still be paperwork free. Making transactions at your local gun shop more difficult is only going to **** of "legal" buyers. If the only way I had to obtain a gun was through illegal pathways, I wouldn't step foot into a damn gun store in the first place, so any laws regarding the purchase of firearms in one would be a moot point.
