Barn -> Indoor Heated Gun Range Conversion?

We have a relatively large cattle barn on our property. In times past, it actually housed cattle as part of the neighboring acreage housed farms. Now, however, it's straight farmland surrounding our plot. We have a second barn on the property that we would house animals in.

My thought was to turn the former barn into an indoor all weather shooting range.

Any thoughts? I'll post pictures tomorrow. The barn is rectangular with a relatively tall roof and a "second floor" inside. The front has two large square openings, no doors. One small "house" sized door on each side, and the back end has two worn wooden barn doors on tracks.

for ventilation, get two of the big industrial box fans. Mount one sucking in fresh air at the near end. Mount the other at the target end blowing out. Unless you are planning on a commercial range, then the smoke/lead produced won't be enough to worry about hugely expensive specialized systems. Just move the air away from you and you should be fine. Heck I'd just use a single big fan blowing away from me. I'd spend more time worrying about back stops and making sure bullets don't leave the range. What is behind the target end of the building? What happens if a round goes out the roof? How do you keep animals and people from getting into the danger zone while you are inside shooting?
