Does anyone have any experience with the Turkish made ms380 Beretta 84 clone?

I'm looking for a firearm with good capacity 12+ and in the 1 1/2 lb range when loaded. Unfortunately I have not found anything in a caliber larger than 380. The only options so far are the Bersa Thunder 380 plus at 15+1 or this ATI import. And before anyone ask why I'm willing to settle for a lowly 380, the arthritis in my back has taken a turn for the worse and carrying a 1911 hurts to much.

I have no complaints about the 380, but I didn't want to hear you need a 9mm or better argument. I did have a 7 round bersa but gave it to a uncle who's neighborhood is seeing an increase in crime. It was a good pistol which is why it is on my short list. I was just curious if anyone was familiar with the ms380. The comments I have seen have been very positive. My wife has a Sig P238 Purple Pearl that has been flawless. I even carry it from time to time when she doesn't want to:D:

went to a gun show sat. and bought the TAURUS TCP 380 - I KNOW [ IT`S TOO SMALL - IT`S COMPACT - NO POWER ] WELL WENT TO THE RANGE YESTERDAY AND IT FEELS GREAT - the 7 rounds should get the job done [ GOD forbid ] all shots were close - it`s gonna get warm here in N.C. and witha tee shirt i couldn`t carry my mp 40 - with this 380 no one will know

I have a general rule... don't buy a copy when the original is still readily available on the new or used market.

There's limits to that rule though. While I'd love a Colt Single Action Army, I haven't gotten to the point of wanting to pay that price. The Italian copies have been around for years, interchange with Colt parts, and work pretty well.

In this case I agree with asheman. Look for the real thing on Gunbroker.
The Israeli's off loaded a ton of handguns into the US market. There are a ton of Beretta 84's on Gunbroker right now.
