In a post, someone referred to anti-drone shotgun loads. I never heard of them. Can a person buy them? Is there a web site to purchase them?

There are many good goose loads including 3.5" if your shotgun is chambered for those I like the Black Cloud 3.5" BB size in those FWIW

Also (Not Fed or Black Cloud) the 3.5" #2 Bismuth is an awesome round but spendy .

My advise is to make sure you pattern larger steel shot (BB etc.) as it often doesn't choke like other shot (larger steel shot usually likes less choke to get a tighter pattern IME)

Drones hehe , decades a go I had some 12 gauges wildlife scare cartridges to scatter birds I guess IDK. They would go quite a distance and something like a m80 would explode.
That would be hilarious ..like anti aircraft rounds.
The bad part is they used black powder so a bitch to clean a modern gun.

Do some reading before you blast someones drone out of the sky. It is illegal to do so. If you have a drone flying low over your property I would suggest you get a bottle of helium and some larger sized balloons and use your fishing poles tied to the balloons and let them float above your property.

Most drones have exposed propellers and it would do a job on one to have a line caught in the propeller. It will come down. This would be like the Barrage Ballonos flown over towns in WW2 to discourage fighters and bombers from flying over.

Barrage Balloons. You have as much right to fly a balloon over your property as a drone flyer has to fly over your property.

If SHTF, I doubt the law would matter.

It may be illegal in certain jurisdictions to shoot down drones. Check locally before playing drone skeet. Save your ammo for commies. A better choice would be to make a maser out of a microwave oven. That's all I will say about that. 😎

Yeah, #4 buckshot would be "perfect" IMO

I fly RC airplanes and don't care for drones or drone operators. Drones have made it necessary to have new restrictive laws that affects me and limits what I can do. All because of stupid kids and their drones. First its a federal viplation to shoot down an aircraft. I wouldn't do it. Besides they can fly high enough your shotgun would never reach them. They have some very high resolution cameras available that can see your whole property from several hundred feet in the air. The cameras are mounted on gimbles and can see you with out having to look straight down. They can fly to the side of your property and see what you have.

And don't forget with google earth and google maps your property is already online and can be clearly seen now. A small electric airplane can fly over your property 500 feet in the air and you won't hear it with just its single motoer and they can carry the same cameras as the drones use. They can cross your property at 50mph and be over and gone before you ever knew they were there.

When I was an insurance adjuster if I had a house the was too steep to climb or higher than my ladder would reach I would use google maps to look at the roof that way I could get a count on roof vents, turbines and anything else I needed to include on a claim. I could clearly see if you had a garden and how big it was. And this doesn't count what the government can see of your property. If you are in the country the tax office flies over and takes aerial photos and checks them to see if you have added any taxable buildings to your property and to see if you have animals to justify your Ag exemption.

I am with you, I started flying RC in the early 1980's. It was not until these cheap and easy to fly toys hit the market did problems start. It was never the guy that spend 8 months building that P-51 mustang that was the issue, it was not even the guy with the park flyer P51 mustang made out of foam that was the problem, it was the idiot and their zero skill require drone.

You also make a very good point, to the feds there is no difference between a 747 and a drone, they are both aircraft. Real good point.

These people have ruined the RC aircraft hobby, hope they rot in a very hot hell.

Be careful about shooting down a drone. It can result in legal action:

.

The act of shooting down a drone can indeed be considered a crime. Under federal law, a drone is classified as an aircraft. Therefore, damaging, destroying, disabling, or wrecking a drone could result in federal criminal charges under 18 U.S.C. § 32, which deals with the destruction of aircraft or aircraft facilities. Penalties can include fines, imprisonment, or both, depending on the severity of the offense and the damage caused.

Though it might seem like a simple solution to a complex problem, shooting down a drone carries with it a host of potential consequences. Understanding these outcomes is crucial before deciding to take such drastic action.
