This looks REAL bad.
The district it fell into is quite congested (Meghanigar, you can all use Google Earth). There is what looks like a military area directly in line with the runway. If they're lucky it went into the open areas, if not it flew into the apartment blocks.

Not an issue if he reached rotational speed. I was in a plane ( turbo prop) yesterday where the pilot took off in about 700’ on a 3500’ runway. Not completely loaded, and we used 1/2 the fuel on the flight in. She had a 32 kt gusting headwind. She was smiling ear to ear. I’m going to guess we were at 1200’ in about 60 seconds.

I’ve been in a shorter takeoff, but the runway had a 8% downhill grade and strong headwinds. Guy used up maybe 10% of the runway- The slope also helps landing fuel tankers.

Black boxes will tell us what happened.

Reports being posted on another forum suggesting the flight had already been delayed due to various electrical and software issues. One video from a passenger said the pilot wasn't allowing the passengers to deplane.

Not a good situation to be sitting at the gate for 3 hours and no A/C.

You don't suppose the ground crews were dumb enough to NOT have the APU hooked up to run the A/C?

Air India is under severe financial pressure (you know why). They will cut corners every which way they can. And this might have been the result.

When your airline is going broke, taking care of the passengers isn't top priority.

This is another Air India flight.

No Air conditioning.

"Hum kiya baher chalay ja-ai?" (Can't we just step outside?)

We have been made hostages on the flight! Isn’t there a rule against it, especially since there are high BP patients & infants on this flight in the midst of Delhi heat minus air conditioning! Truly terrible state of affairs
