This just confirms that as a group American blacks are the most ****ed up race on the planet. Whites, Hispanics, and Asians all have their faults. However, these morons are so over the top stupid that it's just plain sad.

What is even sadder is that the president of the Christian University in Nashville who invited these knuckleheads to dinner actually apologized for what he considered a nice autumn table centerpiece.

The black students should be the ones apologizing for their people's crime, violence, drugs, entitlement mentality, and irresponsible procreation.

One of the major rules for calm living is "Don't take offense where no offense was intended".

I think it's safe to say the President of a Christian University had no intent to offend his dinner guests.

They need to be able to explain why they felt the table centerpiece was unfortunate without becoming 'indignant and appalled'. I wonder if they enjoyed the meal prepared for them?

If they don't have cats to chew them and knock them over.

I can't have nice things.

I always found it hypocritical that my black drivers, all, without a question, hated my black cat. They liked the white cat just fine but I always gave them a hard time about being "racist on a cat because of his color".

I would be honored if I was invited to a nice dinner and they had a center piece made of burley tobacco. My family were poor share-croppers and lived on a couple acres of tobacco. When I was a kid (kinda like Algore), I helped cut it, spike it and strip it.

It's part of my heritage like beans and corn bread.

Wonder if there were any black share croppers that grew and processed cotton?

I may never know, because now I don't care.

Must be sad and frightening that EVERYTHING triggers you to so many so subtle racist triggers. I remember when Shrek came out one girl wrote an article condemning Eddy Murphy being the voice of Donkey. To her a donkey is a simple of slavery. Err sorry dummy you might be thinking mule but donkeys just weren't ever a southern or slavery thing. Even a mule would be a stretch to me but I guess they only people that ever used mules or engaged in agriculture were slaves. My step father's father plowed with a mule well into his 70s.

Somewhere, somehow there has to be a paycheck to be such a public spectacle. Either that or just warped.

Did they

Did they serve rice?

More slaves grew rice than picked cotton.

What about the Irish slaves ?

Were they represented ?

4 out of 5 slaves imported to Barbados were Irish Catholics.

The men were castrated and the women were bred to Black slaves.

These Irish were sold into slavery by Cromwell after the war of reformation.

History is surprising when you really study it.

This is simply Selma envy.

These young people were raised at the knee of grandparents who did, indeed, suffer racism at times. Some of their grandparents were even active in the civil rights movement half a century ago.

They heard the stories, but want to experience victimhood themselves. So in spite of affirmative action that gives them preference in public agency hiring and university admissions and the elimination of systematic racism, they too want the stories of racism to tell their children.

So, cotton stalks...

I grew up in Arkansas, Louisiana & Mississippi in the 50s and 60s. I ate lots of collard greens and some mac and cheese but dearly love turnip greens, black eyed peas and cornbread. As others have said these are southern food and not "black or slave" food.

This just goes to show that these kids have been indoctrinated by the left media and leaders in the "I am a victim" crowd. If you read the article at the URL then you should have noticed the English grammar could use quite a bit of improvement, there were more students there than just this one offended black (several tables were mentioned), seemed to have an aversion to standing and eating at a social gathering (extremely common)the picture made the food look good, the cotton center piece was just that,the writer seemed to want free money for tuition with out any other qualification other than being black, and sounded like the person needed an "advocate" because he/she was black.

This person seemed to be a real "snowflake'. But they only come in white.

Everything offends these RACIST RADICAL LEFTIST!
I will not cave to this nonsense! They want to rewrite our history and culture. I have never owned a slave nor has my family going back to the Revolutionary War and my ancestors arrival in America.

These idiots ignore the massive amount of slavery still in existence in Muslim countries. They ignore their own culture of drugs, fatherless homes full of children, violence of black on black crime leading to unbelievable numbers of blacks being murders at the hands of other blacks. And what do they whine about - decorative raw cotton. How petty and childish. Take on a cause that is truly serious and impacting their race in today's world!

This post confirms that you are a racist, your opinion is actually the definition of what a racist is.
Almost all your posts are actually just a hateful bowel movement of your negative feelings towards black people, so much so that when I see your name I know what the content of the thread will be.
You are a cliche

And, you're a butt hole.

I simply state facts. American blacks:
- have an entitlement mentality;
- engage in irresponsible procreation (over 75% of blacks today are born out of wedlock and raised by a single adult - usually the mother or grandmother);
- commit crime (especially, violent crime) way out of proportion to their actual numbers in society;
- are a drain on society's resources taking welfare, food stamps, free medical services, etc;
- have no respect for the rules of society.

I could go on, but you get the drift. This is not racism, but simply calling a spade a spade (no pun intended). The facts are the facts.

And one other fact you should get into your social justice warrior brain is that American blacks are the biggest racists out there - bar none!

Has anyone been to Hobby Lobby lately? Maybe Michaels? Guess what the hot decorative item is right now?

Cotton.

Image

From Hobby Lobby's site. Pretty, innit?

Wreaths made of cotton bolls with the stems attached. Bouquets of all kinds. Cotton topiary, even. They're selling rafts of decorative floral and dried arrangements made with dried, open cotton bolls.

Do black people not go in Hobby Lobby or Michaels? I'm pretty sure they do.

So maybe they're just looking for things to be offended by? Especially if they are inclined toward that?
