Iran has limited success with maybe getting things into temporary orbit using 60+ year old technology, they have nothing in polar orbit or any stable orbit whatsoever, nor any ability to launch any attack from space. North Korea can't even get their crap out of the atmosphere without it exploding and scattering debris all over the Pacific. You're really giving these people way too much credit.

I was born in a farm house in SW MO in 1938, I went to school in MO and Calif, traveled over a good bit of the world, have farmed, worked in factories, spent 40 years as a real estate broker, live in the country now, spend about 12 hours a day doing research mostly on the internet. I have always been interested in survival issues.
I may be mistaken about the issue but I think I recently read on the web that both Iran and North Korea have satellites in polar orbits. It shocked me that they both did.
There will be no infrastructure to deliver power from any source.
Wells are pumped with electricity. If you don't have a 5 inch well bucket and a lot of rope you have a worthless well. Where are you going to get your garden seed?
Old vehicles might run but they need fuel.
ALL food storage structures including grocery stores will be stripped .
A minute proportion of the populace lives near water. If they do get there it will be afoot with no food.
It is estimated that less than 10 % of the population will be alive in 1 year

Which leads me to ponder: when will the wars begin within space? or have they been long underway? To think that America, China, or Russia does not possess the ability to destroy other satellites is just flat out ignorant….

and going back to an EMP bomb, I think a cyber attack on our grid would pose much more of a realistic threat… Any joe schmoe geek with serious knowledge could launch the attack from their basement, where an EMP bomb would take some serious man power to successfully accomplish
