EMP program at 9:00 pm Eastern on Fox This is the greatest threat this nation has ever faced. The North Koreans and the Iranians both have satellites in Polar orbits that means they have the means of delivering a Nuclear weapon over the center of the United States. The weapon can be small and crude. North Korea has set off only small nukes-that's what they are working on. The minute either of them are capable off setting off a device over the center of our country they will do so. It will instantly wipe out all the electrical grid and all electronics. There will be no communication, no transportation. no financial services, no water or food-there will be nothing left that is life sustaining. The USA will no longer exist as a nation and never will again. The Iranians will attack Israel and the North Koreans will attack South Korea as they will no longer be protected by the USA. The death toll is expected to be 300 million in less than a year so this country will lie open to occupation to the first ones that can get here. My guess is China as that would solve their massive problems.

The solution to protecting our electrical grid and therefore ourselves lies with the American citizens raising HELL with the government. Force the issue. Need money? Take it from the people that hate us like Pakistan and Egypt amongst many others. If the USA is going to aide somebody let it be the people of this nation.

The guide on TV says 9 pm eastern tonight about emps.
I was born in a farm house in SW MO in 1938, I went to school in MO and Calif, traveled over a good bit of the world, have farmed, worked in factories, spent 40 years as a real estate broker, live in the country now, spend about 12 hours a day doing research mostly on the internet. I have always been interested in survival issues.
I may be mistaken about the issue but I think I recently read on the web that both Iran and North Korea have satellites in polar orbits. It shocked me that they both did.
There will be no infrastructure to deliver power from any source.
Wells are pumped with electricity. If you don't have a 5 inch well bucket and a lot of rope you have a worthless well. Where are you going to get your garden seed?
Old vehicles might run but they need fuel.
ALL food storage structures including grocery stores will be stripped .
A minute proportion of the populace lives near water. If they do get there it will be afoot with no food.
It is estimated that less than 10 % of the population will be alive in 1 year

It took some really advanced technology to take out 17 very large transformers in San Jose last year. I believe they said something about some bolt cutters and AK-47s. But the FBI says it was only vandalism-nothing to worry about.

Little George and Wolfiwitz wanted Saddam out and were willing to go to any extreme to do so. George Bush has killed many more Americans than the terrorist ever thought about. Almost 7,000 at last count plus the many thousands that are maimed. Those troops were not fighting for their country-they thought they were but Saddam was no threat to our country as almost the entire world tried to tell little george.
Korea has nuclear devices-Iran is working at getting them. They both have rockets capable of putting satellites in orbit which they have already done.

Frank Gaffney

I was impressed with Frank and immediately ordered his book-Guilty Knowledge- from Amazon.
If you noticed he thanked Judge Jeannine for the "Incalculable" service she is doing for the country. We need people like her that doesn't beat around the bush but says it like she means it and the way it should be done.
There are a number of notable people taking notice of and working on this problem. If all the people that are aware of the situation will spread the word and put pressure on the government we will eventually get something done.

Woolsey

I think Woolsey was an Admiral, an Ambassador and the head of the CIA. It would seem that he would be very knowledgable about this situation and he doesn't beat around the bush when discussing it.
My guess is that the powers that be know that Iran doesn't have a bomb at this time Iran being very easy to spy on internally by us and the Israelis so they can put off the problem for now. They know that North Korea has the bomb and missiles but haven't been able to put it all together YET. I think our people are beginning to be concerned as North Korea keeps surprising them with developments we didn't think they were capable of.
The problem is that it will take years to protect ourselves after we get started. There is no question that North Korea will be ready to take us out before we are ready.
I think North Korea will take us out the minute they are able. One tiny country that hates us with a passion and has already threatened our destruction and that we have kept corralled with our thumb on them wouldn't hesitate to annihilate the Great Satan.

The reason for emphasizing the polar orbits is that the experts say that that is the way that a nuclear device would be delivered to the USA. Both North Korea and Iran now have satellites in polar orbit. All countries know about Nuclear devices generating EMPs.

Satellites

There is some very interesting info available about satellite wars. The US is vulnerable because we have developed large satellites that perform many jobs so if one of them is taken out it would cause major problems. The US is now working toward many small satellites as is China. The US has satellites that can capture other satellites and has many ways to take them out of service. China is putting a lot of effort in developing that capability.
I have no doubt but that the US, Russia and China have nuclear devices in orbit that would knock out the others electrical grids.

The cause doesn't matter

If the grid goes down from any cause we are done for. There is no sense thinking in terms of maybe just part of it goes down. The grid needs to be made as reliable as we can possibly make it. We need to think in worse case scenarios. What do we have to lose in comparison to what we have to gain. Our loss in a worst case scenario is total annihilation. For a minimal amount of money we can put ourselves in a somewhat secure position. A position where we would at least have a chance at survival. Even with the grid brought up to the best standards we can achieve there would be a large loss of life, months if not years of discomfort and inconvenience with a nation wide attack.
If the big transformers get taken out, to be replaced they have to be engineered and designed for each individual location and job. As far as I know only South Korea and Germany were capable of making them until recently. There are now two companies setting up in the USA to make them. I would guess that all of them together would have very limited production capabilities in the best of times. There are millions of smaller transformers that are required to get power to the end user. I have a friend who was manager of our local coop and he said he had to order a long way ahead just to keep up with the demand for the small transformers like you see on the power poles.
Europe and the British are quite a ways ahead of us in addressing this issue. There are papers available on the net from the meetings they have held.
If you are willing to spend the time and effort to research this problem, as with everything else on the web, you can find a tremendous amount of info. It takes a lot of time. The best way to get started for the newcomers to this issue might be to get the following books.

Our electrical grid is so stressed and overloaded that it wouldn't be able to route around many problems at one time. Any kind of attack could be a big problem.

Solar storm

I know very little about solar events but if we have a major one it will knock out our entire system. Again without knowing for sure it is my understanding that it would affect the entire earth. In that case we would certainly be on our own. The solution is to prepare our grid to the best of our ability. The process is technologically simple. There are companies world wide selling what is needed. The cost compared to all the squandering our government does is very little. On the program last night someone said that the Department of Energy's budget is 30 billion. I have no idea what their job entails nor what they do with that amount of money but it doesn't seem that any of it goes to protecting the American people.
The estimates of hardening the system vary wildly but the figure of three billion seems acceptable to a lot of people. In one place they were quoting $250,000 per transformer for protecting the big transformers and said something about 300 of them. Another place mentioned 3000 transformers which at $250,000 each would only be 750 million. It won't be long until the government will have spent that much advertising their no account health care debacle.
We need to talk to everyone we can about this and get everyone to raise hell with the government.
The people of Maine and some other states are addressing this problem head-on.

The "old" equipment was horse drawn, of course that wouldn't be a problem for a sharp fellow. The engineer on that steam train wouldn't worry about fueling his train without electrical pumps or that he might not know where to go to pick up a load nor where to take it. How far can you see smoke signals anyway? Oh by the way don't old vehicles require fuel?
Of course some folks have been without power and lived.
