3 ships on fire in the Gulf of Oman. The NASA data appears to confirm the tweet @.40 cal shared, though it doesn't mean they're US-flagged vessels.
Waiting to see the cause confirmed, and the nation they belong to, but there do appear to be ships on fire. It would seem odd for Iran to strike them, though, considering they are begging to resume the nuclear talks they refused earlier.

We didn't have to wait for Iran to hit our shipping. Trump said no American damage. They hit our embassy branch. While maybe not intentionally, it was enough. My bet is that was intended to resupply Iran from a partnering nation.
A likely scenario is Trump's minions talking with the Ayatollah's minions on the extent of the damage. If they can plead their case it was not an intentional strike, everyone will sweep under the rug. Iran really does not want to wake the bear.

Friend of mine is in Iran at the moment. Heard from him via email today - of course, Persian govt probably has their own NSA so I was VERY careful as to what I wrote. Don't have a hell of a lot of update - just that Iranian airports are closed. Will update if and when any pertinent info arrives.

Am I worried for his safety? Of course. Do I trust in his capabilities? Yeah, he's more patriotic than most natural born citizens, I'll leave that there 🔫😉

I still don´t know for sure (and I´ve read quite a lot about it) what exactly made the Iranian Mullah regime choose Israel as it´s favourite enemy, Iranians are not Arabs, they don´t even speak Arabic, Iran is far away from Israel, Iran doesn´t harbour any significant Palestinian refugee population (most are in Jordan, Libanon or Egypt), religious justifications are lacking too (Shia-Muslims used to be more tolerant with Jews than Sunni-Muslims).
So, maybe, this Iranian-Mullah self-imposed hate for Israel could become the downfall of the Islamic Republic.
Islamic hatred of Jews goes back to the days of Mohammed. He grew to hate them because they wouldn’t accept he was a prophet, then fought wars against them and had hundreds of Jewish captives killed (some say he killed them himself). Shia or Sunni, these days the pressure on Muslim leaders is to ‘be more Muslim’, because they don’t understand why the Islamic world is poor while the non-Muslims prosper. If Islam is perfect then the deficiency must be because the Muslims aren’t trying hard enough. Mohammed was the perfect man, so if he killed Jews, so be more like Mohammed and Allah will reward you.
The existence of Israel, and the failure of the Arab Muslims to destroy it over eighty years and many wars, rubs salt in the wounds.

No one has said it yet.

It would make the most sense for who to attack US flagged ships?

Iran hit Israeli intel center in Herzliya after air defenses fail.

Only one inbound hit (presumably) the intended target, damaging one building. In the video you shared, the first missile hits an empty road. The second one hits a building (likely the intended target), the third lands in an open field, the fourth hits (or hits near) a wastewater treatment plant, and the fifth hits a parking lot or a construction site. Characterizing anything less than a 100% intercept rate as "failure" is silly and a fundamental misunderstanding of the intent and value of defensive systems like Iron Dome, David's Sling, Arrow 2/3, etc. Buildings can be rebuilt. The layered air defenses are saving thousands, if not tens of thousands, of lives. That's hardly a failure.

Based on those 5 impacts, the Iranians are achieving ~1.5km CEP. That's pretty bad considering some want to claim their BMs have 50-100m CEPs.

Such a shocking number of high-ranking people killed in such a small amount of time, huh?

This is modern warfare, when one side isn't really prepared to do it right....

It makes the Iranian nuclear program look like a really foolish endeavor. Like even maybe one of history's biggest mistakes....

Yeah, but one more scary thing to think about is the opposite side of the coin-

The Israelis are going to really extensive lengths to protect themselves from Iran's nuclear program. Surely they think this much is NECESSARY or else why would they do it?

Think of trying to uproot and eradicate some really stubborn, hardy plant in your yard...

So my question is, what if it's NOT enough to stop Iran from using a nuclear weapon against them?

What if they do get hit with some kind of a sucker punch after a while? Scary. That would be quite a reversal of fortune.

If only killing one of those personalities was the slam dunk the Israelis needed to get rid of the nuclear danger, surely they would have just done that.

Economy of force....

Someone in some headquarters somewhere is doing some thinking, and then saying "Hey guys, we really need to AT LEAST try to reach ALL these people........."

And it's a list of actually 20 scientists and leaders, or whatever the case may be, not just 2 or 3 people...
