Of course it's all over the news, Iran is bombing Israel (with drones) Does anyone know what kind of missiles they would be using, and will Israel's defense dome be able to protect Israel?

Ramadan is over. Lots of chatter the past couple days, however it seems they are inching towards an imminent attack against Israel.
I was told by a friend that through proxies, Iran has reached out to the US and said if you don't want your troops or assets involved, then don't get involved.

I have heard and read the same chatter. Politicians and news sources are certainly convinced a large attack is imminent, but what concerns me is the large scale pronouncement. One of the successful attacks, in October, was done in surprise, which caused additional fallout. Why would Iran announce what it was doing? Do they have new weapons systems? I doubt Israel would be in the dark about Iranian capabilities, so they should be able to have a successful defense.
All of the proclamations have me thinking it's a nothing burger, but I'll stand-by to be proven wrong.

But of course they will. Nothing has changed since the Crusades, no make that the beginning of time. Half the bible is about war and fighting and genocide. Just pop those nukes and let the last man standing turn out the lights. I'm sick of it. I've heard nothing but this crap for 70 years. Let's get it done with and move on.

2) Israel is distracted by the ongoing Hamas / Gaza conflict.
3) Iran might want to make their move while Biden is still in the White House; they see he isn't giving Israel unconditional support.

1) Putin can use this as an excuse to disengage from Ukraine. 'We could have crushed them but more important to crush Israel'.
2) Putin sees the world re-aligning a la a new cold war with USA on one side. Being part of an anti-Israel campaign would establish his alpha male ness.
3) Russians unhappy about fighting Ukrainians might be more supportive fighting Israel; antisemitism, sad to say, is a part of a lot of Russian culture.

Here we go. This could escalate very quickly. If Biden engages with military support in defense of Israel, don’t be surprised if the terrorist cells planted in the U.S. get the go signal.
According to The Daily Mail, the drone armada is scheduled to arrive in Israel in hours. I suspect the IAF is already planning intercept missions.
I suspect drone launch first, followed by cruise missiles followed by ballistic missiles so all will arrive at the same time to overwhelm the air defense.
I also suspect hamas/hezbollah will coordinate the same time.
