Police Begin "Guns Drawn" Raids on Organic Food Stores in California

MOST are not that way. Most are polite but as firm and as rough as they have to be. At least where I live. They are my neighbors, relatives, and friends, some of them. But they do get cynical if they work mostly with creeps, smart a**ses, and druggies all day every day. Going in with guns drawn to arrest raw milk sellers is definitely over the top, though. Maybe that's their orders.

It may be the case... but there may have been other problems with these folks... we might not ever really know what and why of it all... I am not making excuses for the cops here, but they have the legal right to assume a bad situation at all times...

I do bail bond retrieval and i assume that all people are bad guys when I am going after them...and when I get them whether it is in a grocery store parking lot, or in the store itself, a porno theater, or even when the perp is getting a piece of ass, or even a bathroom in a bar... I always assume the worst and they find a barrel right in their face..It is the nature of the beast...

sad but it is true... a very ugly beast

Good point. CA cannot seem to elect a conservative, no matter how big and intrusive the government gets.

In any case, the bureaucrats and police are essentially just enforcers for industrial agriculture, masquerading as public health officials. They know that small, independent farms and dairies are (and always have been) the bedrock of liberty in this country. That is why they are the first ones targeted by a repressive government. Although I suspect many of the police would be appalled if they understood what was going on and how they are being used as tools.

The idea that a hardworking, taxpaying, responsible adult cannot choose to purchase and consume raw milk is just plain offensive.

This is exactly how communist states handle people that challenge the state.... We all know Kalifornia is a communist state so nothing here to look at, just move along.
Kalifornians want communism, I say let them have it :thumb:

That story hits way too close to home .... We had a roommate earlier this year. She was separated from her boyfriend, while they were trying to work things out. Her boyfriend came over early one morning, because he had tried to call her, but she didn't answer the phone.

He thought she was using illegal drugs, and called 911. The police came out first, and searched through our home for illegal drugs, found her medicine and were treating this lady like she was a criminal!

She was taking some kind of pain medication, but was definitely not a druggy! She was my roommate, and I saw her everyday, and so did my boys. There was nothing wrong with her, except that she had serious medical issues and using prescription medication ....

I'm surprised the police didn't find my pain medication (vicodine and more!). They had dogs searching all around our house, like my house was a drug lab or something ....

Wonder what would have happened if I had refused to allow the police to search my home .....

Actually what's going on in cali is a bunch of illegal ignorants who buy a stall from some guy who owns a parking lot, advertise as being organic on 'farmer's day' with fancy signs, and yet when you go to the location of where this "organic" food is said to be growing, there's nothing there. So basically they buy from costco or whatever and then scam people for food at prices higher than if they had just went to a regular grocery store. I hope they get shot. So far they are being fined and now banned permanently but considering how many of these cockroaches exist, I'm sure they'll just change their face and be back at it the following week.
They need to ban the farm locations and to hell with the vendors unless proof is evidenced. The 'farmers' should be forced to pay for an independent source that drives out and takes pictures as proof. If they can pull the stuff and haul it they can sure as hell be made to prove it's actually organic. A store owner is no different from the guy who rents his space for a day or 2. He should be fined just as much for each offender. And preferably shot if he's a repeater. I hate liars and thieves.

What is lousy is the fact we have to go to such lengths to get anything clean to begin with and then you got these jerks who want to scam you for it. Sometimes the threat of violence is better than the actual violence. The police know this all too well.

They are debating pending legislation that would cure this ... it's called S 510.

I wouldn't have let them. Get a warrant boys, I have all day.

Spoken like a true Californian. Find a vendor or farmer you can trust and buy from them. Don't scurry around the market like a cockroach trying to find corn for a nickel an ear cheaper than whine it isn't organic.

P.S: Just wait until you see how much your organic produce is going to cost after it goes through 15 inspectors, certification, licensing and all the other red tape. You will have a real fun time finding your organics then. Hope you have a lot of disposable income.
