I have never hid the fact I am not a Glock fan, I will take XDm’s over any Glock at any time on any day… But the Glock guys swear by these and how indestructible they are… So I thought ok, MAYBE get one… MAYBE… Just so I can say I have one, I had one years ago and got rid of it. I did not like at all…

Then I see these…

I did not say it won't shoot, I just don't care for it...

I love the grip safety on the XD & XDm, not a problem at all...

I still may buy a glock and then film it as I break it...:thumb:

That's the nice thing about our country, you can buy what ever your little heart desires.
Don't care for Glocks? Fine. Buy an Xp, M&P, CZ, Brand xyz. I have Glocks! I don't like the grip angle or bore height or the looks of the XP ( boy, where have I heard that before). To each his own. Just remember, There are Glocks around that have gone well over 100,000 rounds with minimal parts replacement ( Chuck Taylor comes to mind).
Personally I don't care what people shoot, just as long as WE can keep doing it!
PS, Yep, I'm a Glockaholic oink, oink :)

I dont get why people hate guns that just work every time. You might get a one in a million that doesn't. People have done stress firings of continuous 500 rds. with zero failures. Buried them for years, unburied and fired, fired underwater, with sand, mud and gunk in them. Rusted to ****, No lube, any ammo. I dont know of any other gun that can do that. They drop the ****en thing out of a plane and it fired, ran it over, dragged it behind a truck, shot at it. After all this it still fired flawlessly. You dont want one fine. More for me.

I've done all that with my XD and it still fired with the cartridges inserted into the magazines backwards. All in the same day.

This post is the same kind of post us XD’ers get all the time from glockguys…

Fact is I had a Glock, did not like it, yes it shot but I did not like the looks or feel. The XDm has a better feel all the way around in my eyes and hands…

I wanted to give the glock people something to think about… This is what non glock people have to go thru everyday we post anything about anything other than glock.…

Truth is Glocks fit some people fine and they love them that is great I am all for anyone that wants to shoot any time and all the time… Just let up on trash talking everything else…

Seems people reading this don’t like the OP… Welcome to our world!

Enjoy …

Don't worry, I sold my Glock too! I had a Glock 21 for a couple years. I'm a big 1911 user, so I figured I'd try a hi-cap .45. I couldn't stand the thing. I sold it to some Glock nut at work. It went bang every time, but so do my 1911s. If I get the hi-cap itch again, I may try the XDM. I doubt I'd buy another Glock, unless it is a 9mm.

I don't know about the rest of you BUT I own a number of guns. I have Sig Sauers, Colts, Glocks and so on. I don't just have one type of pistol. A good Glock is one of the handguns that I prefer to have if things get bad or when something goes bump in the night. I acknowledge that there are some other guns out there that are also good and I would not hesitate to use in most situations. But when it comes to a decent reliable gun, yeah, I like my Glocks. What I generally find funny is "the debate" from XD users that their gun is better than any of mine, especially my Glocks, because I consider an XD nothing more than a clone of a Glock with added bells and whistles that can break and cause the gun to more easily become a boat anchor or paperweight. My Glocks don't have any grip safeties or unneeded extra issues to break on them. A Glock is reliable. I have shot XD pistols and they are okay but nothing to rave about over a Glock or any OTHER pistol. I don't understand why so many people have to be such "gun snobs" either.

I didnt see anyone else ask and if they did please excuse me, but does this weapon still function??? Unless I missed a pic I just saw the plastic was warped up, which i believe would be cosmetic only. Weapon should still be functional. There is nothing in this area of the weapon and I believe could be filed down and not interfer with the slide.

I you are concerned about cosmetics you are looking to these weapons for the wrong reasons!! 1911 are much prettier then a glock if you want a safe queen!!! :thumb::thumb:

I do have a glock that I trust my life with, but would love to have a 1911, not because of the flawless function but because they are pretty. More then I can say for the XD ( about as pretty as a glock), xd's dont feel very good to me.

Correct me if I am Wrong!!

When it came time for a nine, it was to be either a Glock or M+P. I have nothing against Glock, in fact, was hoping to get one for the long history of reliability. But no matter how much I tried, it just didn't fit right in my hand. Meanwhile, the M+P fits like a glove, so that is what I went with.

Quit being a Glock Blocker.

For me, I only care about what I shoot point of aim accurate and confident. This is followed by caliber choice. Brand is meaningless if you can't hit what you're shooting at.

For me, that's a Glock 22.

I resisted buying a Glock for years. It was actually the torture tests that made me break down and try them. A G19 specifically.

I can't say that I love it. The grip angle is hard to transition to if you are used to 1911's.

The safety still weirds me out.

Accuracy is much better than I had anticipated and the reliablity has been flawless so far.

The one thing that bothers me the most though is that the trigger reminds me of the dart guns that we played with as kids.

In short, I own one...I like it...not a kool aid drinker though.

I still prefer my Beretta.

Well I will totally get flamed but I prefer Rugers, Older ones like P89, P90, P97. They are short on accessories, but they go bang every single time. Before I lost my P89 It had well over 50k rounds through it. My P97 has probably on 5000 rounds through it, but it is dead on reliable, accurate and something I will trust my life to even though it didn't cost over $400 new.

I like glocks, XDs, berettas, smiths. MY preferances are just to Ruger. That is until I bought an SR9. Now that pistol is about to be sold with great disappointment.

30 seconds in boiling water, held it straight and under cold water.

Straight as an arrow now. :thumb:

(Note: You can drop a Glock from a plane or drag it behind a truck, but DO NOT put in boiling water - Id say in 60 seconds you're melted.)
