I was just in my back yard a few minutes ago and I have an old fiberglass truck cap that has been sitting around for years. The garbage man won't take it and it's just sitting there so I was wondering, if I drill holes in the roof and flip it over could I use that as a raised bed garden? I think it would work good. I was just wondering. I still have quite a while before growing season so any advice is appreciated. Thanks, Dom.

most of the planters in most malls are fiberglass lined. I might not put holes in it but have a 4 inch layer of loose rocks as lower drainage. adds back water when roots reach it, cutting down on watering.

i agree a hot box is the best use for that. if you want a raised bed then get some used railroad ties near a railroad track

Wood treated with cancer-causing chemicals (like creosote on railroad ties) is not a great material when you're intending to place it next to the root systems of plants you will be eating.
