I use a lot of cabs.
I have no problem with male drivers, although the white male cab drivers tend to be veeeery odd. At least the ones in my area.
I prefer the guys from that northwest country in Africa, the one the filter hates. "eria" When I took my cat to the ER I called one and he was great.
I ride in a lot of cabs by myself and never feel uncomfortable with a male driver. Our cabs in Houston are embedded with microphones and cameras everywhere so I really don't worry, plus I have some friends.
On the other hand, some of the women drivers I have had have been very rude, dominating, control freaks. I don't get a lot of women working my area (pretty solid middle class) and I don't mind that at all.
