Hey I have a Winchester Ranger 120 and I was wondering if anyone knows of places to get parts for it? and if you have one do you like it?

I love mine, Shoots straight, and kicks good too. I only paid $150 for it because it was in somewhat rough shape. I cleaned it up and its looking pretty darn good.

That exact shotgun was my first one ever. I got it new and it has been used alot. I loaned it out to my sister for a skeet shooting class (while not the perfect gun for that it did work) and I have put thousands of shells through that gun. For an inexpensive gun they have a very smooth action and hold up very well under heavy use. Mine has the 28 inch vented rib barrel with a full choke and so it groups well at fair distances. As far as parts go the www is probably your best bet or maybe find a gunshop that has a gunsmith.

I checked the internet, they had some parts and what not for sale, but not a whole lot. I was just wanting maybe a different barrel, and to see if I could get some spare parts for it just in case to have.

For barrels try:

Corson's Barrels
Barrel Exchange

For there being not many parts specific to that gun is probably because they didn't make a lot of them compared to the 1200/1300/1400 etc.and also because they MIGHT just share some of the same parts between the different models...Lots of times they just did not put a vent rib on the barrel and used cheaper wood for the stock and then they would call it a different model.

If you don't have one then see if Steve's Manuals has the manual for it and in it they just might list what is inter-changeable between the models...I have no idea what your gun looks like but Winchester didn't go out and produce a brand new -- everything -- gun for an economy or store brand model they just change with minor cosmetics not a full face lift...At least they never had in the pas with the likes of Sears or Cooey which were just rebadged models sold in Canada.

I bought a Ranger 120 back in the mid-80's to go on a last minute goose hunt. Did not have a 12ga that took a 3" shell, so got the Ranger for $125.

It came with the winchoke system, which I had in my Winchester 1500...so it worked out well. Used it to hunt doves, pheasant, ducks, goose, etc., and never had one problem with it.

It had been sitting in the safe for well over a decade when I decided to make it into my HD shotgun. I was going to buy a new HD shotgun like a 870 or a Mossberg, but I thought why not look for a shorter barrel.

I found a very nice used 22" barrel with Winchoke. Added a three round extender, side saddle, and a sling. While maybe a bit long for a HD shotgun (as compared to a 18" barrel) I truly love how it handles and it looks good to me.

The plus side is that in a SHTF situation, I can break it down and put it in a case with the 28" barrel...so I can switch between the two barrels as needed.

I have a 120, and consider it just as viable as any other pump. As far as I know they are the same as 1200's.
I was told the 120's were sold to large chain outlets. Cheap of the cheap kinda gun from Winchester.
Mine was mid 80's, Kmart?, 28" fixed Modified. I bought it over the cheaper Mossberg because I didn't like the way the forend rattled on the Moss.
I liked the Winchesters ringed corn cob fore end too!
Mine has always shot true.
I picked up a 24" iron sighted smooth bore deer barrel off of Epay years ago when they allowed them, for around $100. Shoots fosters excellent. Buckshot too.
I keep that barrel on it all the time now.
Seems to balance precisely right in my hands now.
