So, I was thinking along the lines of getting some heirloom seeds to store 'just in case', but thought, why not take it a step further?

Would 'wild' plant seeds fare better or need less maintenance than domesticated plant varieties?
From what I understand, most domesticated plant varieties are based on a wild plant, but 'enhanced' with selective breeding to give better crop yields/larger fruit/et cetera... But that this process may sometimes leave them more vulnerable to pests, weeds, weather, et cetera.
Some wild plants, like wild oranges, taste worse than their domesticated counterparts, but others, like wild strawberries, taste much better.

If they are better in some cases, is there a source where I could get seeds for these wild varieties?
