Wife: Ok! That sounds like fun!

Darn, it's good to have a wife like her
Part 2:

Me: Ok powers off!

Wife: Im hot. You know its the middle of July right?

Total elapsed time: 2 minutes and 37 seconds.

Your wife must have had a pretty good childhood. My wife was raised in a house with no electricity and no water. She doesnt think doing things like that are fun lol.

Ya it is so great to have a wife/gf etc who is on board 100% to prepping and why it is so important!! It makes things so much easier and better to deal with!

Instead of dealing with the stress of hearing all the time "Thats a waste of money", "We could have spent that money on vacation" etc etc.

As she has came to understand, it is a balance of prepping and living a normal day to day life... Which we do both of. We still go out with friends, go to dinner, see a movie, go on vacation, all that.

We don't have to trip the main breaker in SA Eskom does it for you. Hubby hates it but I love going no power. It fun pulling out the gear for the weekend roughing it. Sometime I wish I could go back to the era before power.

That would never fly in my house. In fact my wife is usually 180 degrees in the other direction than me. Makes things very hard , in fact we really have nothing in common at all. Black... White, Up...... Down....... Yes.... No..... Not a happy camper or hiker. I've been getting my gear/guns/supplies together for years and she has no clue what I have or what it's for. and doesnt care. She thinks that I have a problem. SHE'S RIGHT......

That sounds exactly like my wife. Living in Az our AC is on almost 24/7. I swear to God she freezes me out of the house. Whenever she's home the thermostat is set at 65. I myself can deal with 77 degrees in the house.

Same here, but at least she doesn't go that low. She goes about 75, read somewhere that you should never set your A/C over 20 degrees than what the temp outside is. Anything more and the A/C just runs all the time.

Mine would be on board with this weekend challenge but I think she wants to try it out in a more temperate setting first.
